| Yes, ROBLOX has the memory limit of your RAM. It also has the limit of 4GB if I'm not mistaken, because it's a 32-bit application. I don't know of any other memory limits. |

I have 8GB, the studio says it's using 1.3GB currently.

| King, no, but I didn't know I'd reach it, because I never had before. The original Lua command line has the same limits.. I figured out how to bypass that, I'll give it a shot on roblox. |

| Maybe it's not *actually* out of memory, and it's just doing that so you'll look away from it and check your RAM usage. And then when you get back, everything will be destroyed. |

I'm not wrong, it's roblox thats wrong. Do you understand your own logic? It's not me that coded the studio, it's them.
And I played 44k parts online, although all anchored, with smooth FPS. |

@Oysi, Even with the efficiency upgrades they put in, you're still right.
@HatHelper, Shedletsky envisions being able to make places with millions of parts in them, but that's quite a ways off. |

i wish 3.0 ghz processers were free and compatible with every computer and people came to your house asking if you would like 100 more 3.0 ghz processors and the offer would come with them installing the processor into your computer for free.
that way, we could all play really cool games and we'll be rlly happy.

It doesn't necessarily mean literally, "out of memory"; it can mean out of *space*, e.g. if the address space looks like this
___XXXX____XX_XXXXX___XX_______XX
And you try to create something XXXXXXXXX big, there's physically enough memory there but it's in the wrong places. |

Why is there a 4 GB max memory for ROBLOX if it is 32-bit?
Last time I read anything about it, 32-bit could only go up to like 3.2 GB for a computer, in RAM, while 64-bit could reach 192 GB of Memory.
Just wondering if that is a rounded number, or if it is some sort of changing number depending on who made it. (1 TB of memory being less than 1 TB of memory, gets annoying).
Just wondering. I found out about this difference from a book store once, the programming section. (They really know how to hide it). I was looking up compatibility for Win7, it had a section about that in some 800 page book on how to use it...

In terms of how many references to memory can be stored, in 32 bits, a pointer can point to any of 2^32 bytes, which is 4.3 GB or (exactly) 4 GiB. If you square that number, you get what can be stored in 64 bits - 2^34 GiB, which seems a little unnecessary. To put that in perspective, that would be about .3*10^-5 moles of bytes, so if you want that many bytes, you'll probably going to need to be engineering at the molecular level.

| Minecraft also has a memory limit, if I'm not mistaken. It somehow crashes afterward. That could just be me, though. |
