At the moment, Studio 1.0 is a bit mixed, while 2.0 is more for advanced use.
My idea is that when you download Roblox, you will have a choice of which studio to download.
The 2.0 could feature:
-A better script editor -Object browser with all objects shown (and object insert thing) -Ability to read the object browser while scripting -CFrame property of objects in the explorer -The proffesional interfaces and plugin images (for the feel of Roblox studio)
1.0 could feature:
-Easy free model browsing -Easy property editing (e.g. a plugin which lets you set brick transparency and reflection) -A script editor with spelling suggestions, e.g. "Did you mean coroutine?" -No potentially harmful objects shown, such as "ManualSurfaceJointInstance" -Simple interface with more self-explanatory and bigger buttons
Do not call them 1.0 and 2.0, however, call them "Begginer" and "Advanced" or something, otherwise people will not think of getting 1.0, because 2.0 is obviously better.
I did not post in S&I because the Studio 2.0 thread is 2.0 discussion, and this is technically discussion on 2.0. (Well, and 1.0, but whatever, I've never seen a mod/admin post in S&I anyway.) |
