basically I mean songs acts you like have made, but it doesn't sound their style
like it's different in ways then what they usually do
I'd say Obscure Alliance, by Scar Symmetry seems to be a much different type of Death Metal, then their usual Melodic Death Metal with boatloads of clean vocals
it starts off with basically a grunt, and has a beat beat beat rhythm. Reminds me almost of Nu Metal (except much better, generally). Same with the chorus
oh and Cinderblox, by Sonata Arctica

yeah Cinderblox was SA's weirdest song...
oh and Stratovarius they are always doing perfect power metal songs and when i heard 030366 i was traumatised.... |
