| I don't know what verbs are regular or irregular in your language. Surely you can think of an example regular verb. |

Well. there are irregular verbs, just like the English ones; to be, to have, and so on (Dutch has more, tough). There are also regular verbs, those conjugate on the sound of the vowel ("syllable"). An example with the verb to eet, eten. Now note that the transliteration, étèn:
ik eet // ét jij/u eet // ét hij/zij/het eet // ét wij eten // étèn jullie eten // étèn zij eten // étèn
U see? The conjugations with the multiple forms are basicly the whole verbs. The conjugations in the plural form depend on the sound of the vowel(s), normally you just remove the -en, but without the en the it would be et and that transliteration would be èt, therefore another vowel from the same kind is added to give it a long pronounciation. Same for the verb to cook, koken; kókèn:
ik kook jij/u kookt* hij/zij/het kookt* wij koken jullie koken zij koken
*Note that the he/she/it (hij/zij/het) forms always have a t at the end on of the verb if there's none already. The u form (formal you (singular) form in Dutch) also alwaysa has a t if there's none already, but for the you form (jij) it differes, if the word (jij) is infront of the verb or before the verb then the t is added if there is none already, else the verb is just like the ik (I) form.
Now the past is quite simple for regular verbs: you have a verb, koken. Remove -en: kok
Now check if the last letter (in this case the second k) is in " 't kofschip " Yes it is: 't _K_ofschip Now we know that it is in that, we add -te for a singular form (like I, ingular you, he, she and it), if it's multiple we add -ten. If the last letter is not in there, we use -de for singular forms, and -den for multiple forms. Now we know that it is in 't kofschip, we get this: kookte, kookten.
Note that we add another vowel to keep the long o pronounciation.

| Note also that the vowels in 't kofschip do not count. So you should only be searchign for those letters: tkfschp |
