So I'm creating an FPS called Black Operations. The game takes place in a modern-futuristic setting, like the upcoming CoD:Black Ops II. There are some things I might put in the game reminiscent of other games. I plan on making a script activated by a pressing a key that shows player stats and stuff. So heres what I might put in the game.
2 teams, 8 factions. This is an indicator when playing or waiting for a match to start, players can use the script I'm gonna try and make to choose the faction they want for their team(blue team factions include the Resistance, U.S. Army Rangers, GIGN(National Gendarmerie Intervention Group. I can't remember the name in French), and S.A.S.(Britain's Air Force, the Special Air Service). Red team factions include Spetsnaz, OpFor, Shadow Company and Brazilian Militia). Players will also be able to customize their character with clothing from their faction(for example, if you had the S.A.S. for your blue team faction, you could make yourself wear a gas mask, a tactical vest, a black camo uniform and stuff like that. Please note that since Brazilian Militia and Resistance will have very similar character customization options, as those two factions are civilians that also wear military gear like vests,unless I can get a GUI that displays the names of team members and hides enemy names, I will have to advise players be careful who they're shooting at.
Weapon Variants. It's like weapon customization in Brink and Call of Duty, but instead of attachments, it's variants with different attatchments. Some variants of weapons will include ammo upgrades. For example, let's say you want an XM8, but you want it to have incendiary ammo, you can buy the XM8 and save your money to buy the XM8 Dragon's Breath variant. Kind of simple, right?
Customizable Loadouts. With the Loadout system, players can choose items and use them for their Loadouts. Though all weapons and equipment has to be purchased, you can still create a good Loadout. For Loadouts, players will be able to select on Primary weapon(including SMGs, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, and Light Machine Guns.), Secondary Weapon(including handguns, machine pistols, launchers, and specials), Lethal Grenade, Tactical Grenade, Deployable, and kill streak awards.
Perks. Players will be able to choose what perks they have. They won't affect appearance, but will help out the player. Players can choose up to 5 perks. Perk slots include Primary Perk(Lightweight, Scavenger, Ghost, Juggernaut, and Hardline), Secondary Perk(Marathon, Ninja, ParaTrooper, Traceur, and Magnetic), Third Perk(Warlord, Scout, Steady Aim, Slight of Hand, and Hardened), Fourth Perk(Tactical Mask, SharpShooter, Shades, Ballistic Mask, and Thermal Vision), and Fifth Perk(Hacker, Second Chance, Long Range, AfterLife, and Guerilla).
Leveling up means stronger character and more customization. You earn XP to level up so you can become stronger and unlock more customization. XP is earned by killing enemies, completing objectives, assisting teammates and playing matches.
A lot of maps and gametypes. One thing I'm planning on doing is making a lot of maps and gametypes. Maps I'm wanting to make include Streets of London, Paris, White House, Nuke Town, Soviet, City of Saints(in other words, Rio de Janeiro), Battle Ground, and Shanghi. Gametypes I'm planning on include Team Deathmatch, Escort, Objective, Capture the Flap, and Domination.

Black Ops =/= Black Operations
I sense unoriginality in the first few sentences already.

| I know, but what else could I have named it? Besides, the name and what you have to do in most gametypes makes a little more sense than CoD:Black Ops. I mean, Black Ops is a faction in that. A faction. Sure, something called Black Ops does exist in real life, but it isn't a faction. So what do you think I should name the game? |

Name isn't important, but the gameplay is. Make more innovative features.

| Alright I get it done as soon as I can. Oh, and a few changes: 2 blue team factions will be changed. The Army Rangers will be changed to Delta Force. The Resistance will keep their clothing options I'll make when I make the one script for everything and the name will be changed to the fictional Operation 42(abreeviated as Op 42 on the Leaderboard). Spetsnaz will be changed to Inner Circle. The following factions, which are OpFor, Shadow Company, Brazilian Militia, GIGN, and SAS keep their names. If you want more stuff to be changed or added, post it. |
