| If you look purely in the long term, it is very worth it (as opposed to a little worth it, you know (my English teacher has taught me so much)). You earn about $1,000,000 more in a lifetime with a college degree than one without a degree, which is far more than the prices of college. |

it makes people take your actual qualifications seriously
but more importantly you (in theory) learn more and learning for the sake of learning is never bad |

| but coming out of college leaves you in a serious debt. for example, the average student leaves college with about a $24,000 debt, which immensely affects their working experience |

as psychobob said you make a million dollars more in your lifetime if you go to college
that far outweighs 24000 |

| its alright for me because the university i want to go to requires you to do co-op (get a job where you applu what you learn in class) every other term (i think). you also get paid doing it. So it helps finance your education |

alright so what about those college dropouts? the college graduation rate right now stands at only 55%. so what you're saying is we should pay for rising college costs to have about a 1/2 chance to get a degree? doesnt seem fair does it?
