This is a more well thought out version of my more abrupt previous post that was wrongfully deleted for spam.

First off, I believe it was deleted because many of the S&I idiots false reported it even though they didn't fully read it.  (What the heck people it was two lines long.)  Anyway, to those people with the inability to read or the attention spam of a fly, I hope someone returns the favor of false reporting your posts.

So for the actual post:

Recently roblox has been advertising an obvious Lego knock-off named KREo.
For one thing, it's a clear copy.  There's no attempt at making it seem dissimilar.  I don't give a crap about Lego going off-patent, there's a certain level of shear theft of an idea, legal or not.
Second, the toy is for small children, small to the point of not being allowed on roblox.  Look on Hasbro's website, you'll see all the age guidelines are 6 and up or 7 and up.  Generally, that means they're pulling in an exceptionally young audience.

Why roblox advertises this crap, I don't know.  Maybe they think it'll draw more revenue?  But at what cost?

I find many issues with this.

First, why on earth is roblox advertising a knock-off?  If you're going to advertise someone, why not advertise the original and best?  I know roblox and Lego have had their issues, but advertising a knock-off makes roblox look like a sell out.

Second, what the crap is up with ROBLOXs age group desires?  Do you truly want little kids playing here?
We are a site based off of:
-Building your own game
- Coding/Programming that game
All else is not as important.

Please relay to me how many six/seven yr olds know how to script, let alone build?  Where on earth does this fit in with the site's purpose?

Also, with a younger audience comes an even stupider community.
Think of our community now: spammers, whiners, trolls, kackers, and plain idiots.
Now take all of those people and multiply that by just two.
You think it's bad now?  How do you think it'll be when it's twice as bad?  Or ten times as bad?
Think it through.

Little kids + Power to say whatever on Internet = Disaster

And third of all, what happens to the mature, experienced, older users you just alienated and embarrassed?

I'm humiliated, to be honest.
As a freshman in high school, I'd never show anyone this site.  I'm humiliated to be a part of it.
Take a second and think:
What if we actually advertised ourselves as a building/scripting game?

For one thing, I think the community would improve on some levels.
With an influx of older kids or teens, you may get a more mature community.  I say "may" because teenagers are often unpredictable. :)
The amount of whiners and spammers (those who fall for free Rbx. comments) would be lessened.

Regardless of community, the influx of skill would be amazing.  Think about how many scripters like Ananimus we could rope in.  Think about how many awesome builders we could rope in.  Think about the shear enrichment from having a slightly older audience.

Now am I saying little kids are bad?
No.

Little kids on the Internet usually doesn't end well, but we all have to start somewhere.  We all learn.  But the problem with roblox is that soon, there will be no users who fully understand building left.

Overall suggestion:

Stop showing roblox as a child's game.
We are better than that.

Thanks for reading my warning/delete fueled rage post.

Unfortunately Roblox is a profitable business and their goal is to MAKE MONEY. They can't choose who gives them money because in the business world, all money is good money. If that means they let 3 year olds who bang on the keyboard pay 200 bucks, by all means that's fine. If you don't like the community, then leave. Nothing's stopping you and I can assure you that complaining about it won't stop the administration of Roblox from keeping up this pattern.

Yes these things would be nice, but that's not what the business is about. That's what OUR audience wants. Our audience also doesn't give in to paying ridiculous sums of money for virtual goods. So really they should want to get rid of us. Because we make them no money. And we block all their ads because we know how. We literally COST them to be on here. We're using their server resources for free and that's a negative margin.

So don't complain about it, just leave and find a better game. Or stay away from the community. Either way is fine, just know that this is how the site works.

Ehh.
Wasn't that long. Maybe a half hour.
But I also realized something I meant to put in... so....

@peanutbutter

That seems to be the trend.

Oh and the site's purpose has long since migrated to game playing, and virtual goods as well. We're just here to provide the entertainment to the kiddies for no cost. That's it.

@aboy

I had a better arguement, but my browser crashed as I was about to post it. So following is what I can remember.

-It is in ROBLOXs best interest to see that the community is pleased. If we aren't pleased, we aren't going to pay them.
-Leaving something because I'm displeased is a stupid way to solve problems, because they don't get solved.
-Regardless of what it seems now, Building/Scripting is the core of the game. No one would join if it was just dress-up.

-Nope, they want money. They don't need to please the 2% at the top with about 20% of those paying for BC or ROBUX.
-Why not? Better than being butthurt about what's not changing ever
-6-10 year olds will still join from existing games and THEY are the big money makers for Roblox.

They only need to please about 95% of the crowd. 1% will leave, 4% like you will complain but will still give them cash they need.

This is why I sigh every time I see Roblox has endorsed something. Especially and specifically Kreo.

Your statistics are skewed.
How many people have you seen approve of ROBLOXs downgrading?
And how many have you seen approve of it?

Point proven.

This is something changeable.
Pessimistic's like you make things up to make he future look unchangeable.

Like 10% of all the forumers on Roblox. Which probably is about 1000 people. There are like 10000 users online at a time. Probably 75,000 daily users. They don't need the 1000 of us. No one's going to say "I APPROVE OF ROBLOX TURNING INTO A PILE OF..."

You're basing your arguement on a "probably"?

Am I the only one confused here?

Honestly, I'm thoroughly convinced if Roblox doesn't have that many BC features, they'd go bankrupt.

That's true.

Probably is my estimated guess. I've taken a statistics class; Rule 1: NEVER be certain about what you're being statistical about. Probably and likely are the most used words in that class. I could also say "With 95% confidence..."

These are pretty good figures based on users on a place and posts/views on forum threads. And I assure you 90% of RT doesn't care about the state of Roblox. They like that community. I'd say that the 40 Scripters and 100 or so more randoms from other forums think that Roblox is a bad place for them.

Look, if your protecting Roblox, then you have problems. I mean, take 1 good look at this website. It makes me wanna smack myself on the face for joining. The only reason I joined was because of 2008. 2008-2009 were the best years of Roblox. What is all of this K-reo crap? It sickens me that I'm still post on Suggestions and Ideas.

When did I ever say I'm protecting them?? I'm playing a neutral, non-biased opinion of what is needed for a business on the internet to succeed. An internet based business doesn't need a high approval rating because that's not how people decide what to use on the internet. Internet websites are based purely on advertisements and personal experiences with the site. Unless you're one of "those" people who researches websites before using them...
