Ok first off, I do not want any replies saying: "Change brick transparancy to 0.2". Ok if you say that, you obviously don't know what the meaning of translucent means.
What it is, is similar to transparancy, only that less light passes through and only reveals silhouettes of different objects behind the glass, or material.
Anyway, not much interest I am asuming but it may not sound bad.

your thread is bad and you should feel bad
I've already discussed this with probably the oldest non-admin on roblox, and we came to the conclusion that the transparency option is, in fact, translucence and therefore if we're adding any new see-through properties to a brick they should be blur and distortion, because currently you can't do that by changing something's value
I thought I already said this in the first post? |

"your thread is bad and you should feel bad"
Wow your rude, you follow all the other so called proffesional forumers like Alex4897 who just attack other low class forumers suggestions?
Obviously you are still stupid enough to say you know what translucency is, but really you try to make your reply sound convincing. |

I completely agree with lego, it's outrageous how some people assume they're smarter then others when in the whole real state of fact they couldn't fit into the post so they try to sound smart. Hope that made sense. -=Robo=- |

{"your thread is bad and you should feel bad"} it was a reference to zoidberg. how come no one gets that?
{Wow your rude, you follow all the other so called proffesional forumers like Alex4897 who just attack other low class forumers suggestions?} we don't attack, we criticize. If you think what I'm doing is attacking you should get a better definition
{Obviously you are still stupid enough to say you know what translucency is, but really you try to make your reply sound convincing.} I know translucency by the way it was explained to me, in simple, non paragraphic terms: it's the milkiness of an object, like the way you stir salt into water.
plus, I don't just "follow" Alex4897, I converse with him regularly as well as virtualdarks, frozengaia, Aleezybaby0, mikkeldude, snakehunt, ShadowL, OliveAbuse, sonnerman42, TNTxERIC, XxubermanxX, cobalt10, recruitsoldier, skunkycat, watevs44, theblock24, Paramore2, rocketscoed, DXPower, droppop, mikeyman10ash, frittle, pugzy, meislolroflpwn AND vidafrezz
it comes from being an admin of the largest S&I group currently on Roblox, and I didn't get that from being stupid. |

"attack other low class suggestions"
Why don't you start foruming here for a long time. Then you'll see how frustrated we get when all we see is "OGM MOR NBC RIGHTS" or "olol let m3 change mah name plox" or other, oversiggested crap.
I'd like to see you do any better.

I all do is make a simple suggestion on having a translucent brick. And as I suspected I was critized if not attacked by the people of S&I Forumers who regularly deal with idiots, but now they have turned their attention to inocent forumers who make simple suggestions. |

We told you it was already possible. Some of us politely, some of us not. The fact that you kept pressing this brought this response out of it.

Deffinition of Translucent: "Allowing light, but not detailed images, to pass through; semitransparent."
All other definitions of the word from different websites sound similar. So that does sound like setting transparency to 0.2.
But just to ignore the word translucent for a second, a brick that let you only see the silhouettes of the objects behind it is a pretty cool idea in my opinion. |

| Why thank you, but I already tried 0.2, it is still transparent not even close to translucent. |

Try throwing in reflectance, or even a decal.

The problem with transparency/decals/reflectance is that it only TINTS. T-I-N-T-S. It makes the items seen though the brick more of [INSERT COLOUR HERE!] Sure, it may create an effect, but it isn't TRUELY translucent.
What josh is asking for is essentialy DISORTION: blurring, in a sense. Just because he didn't word it very well, doesn't change that fact.
So, I support. |

Frozen is exactly right. current transparency tints the background to be the color of the brick and reflection tints the background to be the color of the sky. True translucency (is that a word?) and true reflectance don't exist in ROBLOX. nothing bounces the image. Nothing diffuses colors. @ rp069: WHY WOULD HE SUGGEST TINT HE WANTS TRANSLUCENCY/DIFFUSION!!!! |

@CubeThree I agree with reflectance, if an indie game can do it then why can't a team of developers?
also, wut? Transparency doesn't tint a background, Transparency makes the block slightly translucent.
if it were True Transparency, a value of 0.1 would make it invisible |
