I recently started building a post apocalypse style game. Though I am still doing major building, I'm posting it here to get other ideas, aswell as get some feedback.
Story
The basic story is this. 15 years ago, a nuclear war left the world completely destroyed. Millions were presumed dead, thousands exposed to radiation and hundreds injured. Thats just in the USA.
Features
I plan on having quests and playable factions. The main element of the game is roleplaying, so AI enemies will not exist. Feature list -Open world -Quests -Morphs -Factions -Weapons -Scavenge System
I plan on making the storyline better, but that is all for now. |

The fact that it is roleplaying and scavenging features differents itself from other games with the similar genre.

| As this is set in a post-apocalypse setting, I may add a form of crafting. It will also feature a hunder/thirst/radiation style counter, where, when empty, you die. For the radiation one, when full, you die. The roleplaying elements are based off of that one game...After th flash...I think? |

Aww my game's gonna have that too. There'll be 'radioactive' parts of the map that could damage you, and kill you. You could only go there once you acquire a hazmat suit from the rebels. There'll be hunger and thirst too, since it would encourage exploration and not standing in one place.
However, these are staples of this genre so it is alright if it is unoriginal, as many other games already implement these.
After the flash? I don't really like RPing games. :3

I'm not really into RPs either. But this seems like it has potential of being a good one.
Just please don't do any Fallout series knock-offs, like that Nuka Cola thing said ealier. |

| I'm not saying radioactive parts. Afterall, this is after a giant nuke chewed up your house. Everything will be radioactive. So, without treating yourself[i.e. using a syringe tool to heal yourself or being a hazmat class] you would slowly die. Also, the "RP" part is what makes it fun. Most games in this genre are either like your vortex place[which is really cool!] or a zombie shooter. This is a combination of both, while giving players the freedom to make their own choices. I've also come up with a setting. A black winter style theme. |

| When players enter a building, they enter a "sleep room" where their character is/ However, the camera would focus on the room. There, they could select an object. Depending on the shop type[Scavenge, Trade] they could either purchase[by trading objects they already have] or scavenge. Scavenging would work like this: A player chooses, lets say, a large food chunk. Now, other players can visit an interactive "hub" where they can place numbers on other objects, depending on if they want them. If the object has a higher number[anything under 10] then the when the player "scavenges" the object, other players who want it are notified. The notification range[how far away players had to be] would depend on the scavengers stealth percentile. |

| @Candy,It is in a winter style setting. Most burnt trees would eventually just die out. Maybe I can add dead trees, for looks? |

Trees grow in winter ._.
Has no one seen pictures of Chernobyl? The trees are filled with evergreen trees.
Adding trees is more realistic than leaving them out. |

@DrDoom, Lolno. Anyway, I'm working on weaponry, buildings, and "packs". Packs are like the morph/faction you choose. For example, the hazmat pack includes the morph, faction benefits, and the weapons. It would list each category like so. The statistics is out of five. Hazmat Pack [Picture] ---STATISTICS Stealth +3 Health +5 Combat +2 ---WEAPONS Pistol Shotgun Syringe ---LEVEL Hazmat +0 Hazmat +1 Hazmat +2 The level is just a basic counter, depending on if you have bonuses[i.e. VIP, Testing list, et cetera] |

Here is a list of classes, factions, or whatever you feel like calling it. MUTANTS Mutant Exomutant [Like a skeleton, right?] Megamutant[need a better name, basically a giant mutant] Mutant Wanderer[Like an infected human] HUMANS Rebel Soldier Wanderer Marine Hazmat
This is just a basic outline, I plan on adding some form of merchants. |

| Some areas will be mountainlike. Anyway, the morphs are turning out really nice, and the one weapon I did turned out okay. |

Underground regions? Valleys? Maybe some sort of stone ruins, gives the terrain an interesting look. |
