| I was walking down the hallway, and I saw someone chewing on thier thumb for some wierd reason. Naturally, I said "DO YOU BITE YOUR THUMB AT ME, SIR?" He said "uuuh... wut?" He obviously didn't get the reference. Then again, you probobly won't, either. *sigh* |

sorry, the "e" was a typo
Anyway that phrase stood out to me, because in the first scene, person #1 says "DO YOU BITE YOUR THUMB AT ME, SIR?" Then #2 said "Do I bite my thumb at YOU, sir?" #1 says "YES, SIR" #2 "No, SIR" Person 1 begins to walk away, person #2 turns around and says: "BUT I DO BITE MY THUMB, SIR" Then they keep arguing, then they start fieghting with swords, randomly shouting "SIR" over and over again. It was funny. |

the sigh was a condescending one
you might not realize it but that carries a message of "im too intellectual for you morons why do i even bother trying" |

| I'm sorry, I meant to spell it with two g's and three h's so it sounds like an "I feel like an idiot because a play I read in ELA ank into my mind and made me embaras myself" sigh |

the length of the sigh doesnt make you seem any less condescending
we will analyze the sigh to death because it is so symbolic right now |

no matter how you try to put in the sigh it still sounds condescending especially when its an intentional sigh to draw attention to it
if its just one that happens unintentionally then it might actually just be a sigh but when you draw attention to it that means its a condescending one |

Come on
I mean, I know we're on the subject of literature here, but I don't want to analyze symbols over my summer break |
