Share your thoughts about the new water terrain roblox introduced. As for me, i expected more. The physics and swimming is nice(though there is no way for script to detect if humanoid is swimming). On other hand i did not expect water as a material. Because the water is a material it:
1)Is 'anchored' and never falls down 2)Goes through all the parts(meaning that if you make ship, you will have water in it)
Roblox also told us they will make it able to create steam from water, but i dont see anything like this.
And, if any of you want to see a good example of water creating in physics based game, just search "Clonk rage" and see if how water is realised there(though this game is 2D) |

I seriously was JUST trying it out for the first time 30 seconds ago.
And I didn't really know what to expect, so I'm not really disappointed. I agree the physics are nice, and I did not expect we'd be able to 'swim', of which I think they made about as realistic as they could given the engine, so I'm impressed.
I suppose they could have made it actually "flow" to lower areas, that would have been a nice touch, but maybe they're still working on it.
Bouency(Sp?) was also a nice touch. I haven't tested it, but does Slate and other heavy materials sink? |

Roblox lies. It doesn't deserve the name water since the whole concept of there so called "water" is pathetic. The water isn't meant to hover in the air with nothing under it? You tell me now admins, Since when was that physics? |

| The water could be even better if you could resize it like a brick and not just be on terrian |

Eh, admins are probably not going to make water. They're too busy making bad updates and adding glitches. :|
But, yes, water would be a great idea, though I don't predict that any water will ever be added to Roblox. |

@3lex33 It does, you have to set the velocity to either slow medium strong or max. |

I tried it earlier but it broke my Terrain tools. I changed the velocity of the water and was building with it ok, but later when I tried changing it back the tool GUIs showed up but none of the Terrain tools worked anymore. When the tools worked water does not seem to react to the tools the same way the other terrain blocks do. This makes it a little hard to make a smooth transition from terrain to water.
