| It might have used the more light-hearted Silver Age theme, which was the time period the Avengers were made in.....right???????? |

It kind of is, but it kind of isn't. It's a combination of the 616 universe and the Ultimate universe. The Chitauri from the Ultimate universe are here, albeit they are some war race instead of conniving shapeshifters that aided the Germans in WWII. Bruce Banner is not some rage machine, and is actually quite calm, compared to the actual comics, where in the current 616 The Hulk side of Banner has gained actual sentinence. But yeah, you are right that it isn't true to the comics, but in all honesty, it doesn't have to be, it did a great job standing on its own. Your argument is that it wasn't dark enough or mature enough.
There's a guy in a red white and blue costume. A scientist who turns into a disturbingly muscular green man. A rich guy who wears armor that can fly.
It's a dang superhero movie, not some psychological study on humankind or a Nietzschian analog on the Ubermensch.
It's fun comics. But you have the complete right to not like this movie, I'm not going to be the guy who says OOOOH YOU HATE THE AVENGERS YOU SUCK YOU MEANIE
I enjoyed it. |

I enjoyed it.
They weren't puns, I thought it was witty dialogue.
Like The Hulk punching Thor. Or Thor mentioning Loki as "adopted".
Even if the atmosphere were serious, it would just seem like the movie would be taking itself too serious and trying too hard to do so. |

No,
I disliked it as well, for similar reasons. With the release of Nolan's Batman films I was hoping to see a darker avenger film.
Oh, boy was I wrong, but it was still a fun flick, but I won't be buying the DVD release any time soon. |

| I honestly don't see what was so "fun" about the movie, I almost fell asleep multiple times. To me, fun is thinking and feeling, neither of which I did while watching this movie. Sorry for being a self-important elitist who hates having fun. |

| The Avengers was built up over about 5-6 films so i don't see how it's cheap and made just for money. |

| Yeah, because making movies to make money is such a rare thing. |

>"Cheap movie made only to get money from 12 and 13 year olds." You can't judge movies by their age group.
Also, there can't be an R-rated Justice League movie because it wouldn't make much money, and many little boys would whine "MOMMEH WHY U NO LET ME SEE DAH NEW JUSTIS LEEG MEWVEE!1!!1!!1!!1!!!!!" |

Yeah, a rated R Justice League movie would work. It could be about how they stand out above humans, like modern day gods. That's kind of how the current series is trying to play them out as.
But Nolan will do it better. |

| Batman Begins had a ton of problems but i Like Dark Knight never saw Inception so i give Nolan 3/5 on directing skills |
