| Okay, so my friend and I went into this field by our house with my .177 RWS Diana 48 pellet rifle. Nice gun, worth about $530 new. We were mainly hunting for raccoon, rattlesnake, fox, and if needed, coyote. Why? Pest control and parts such as teeth and fur (for rattlesnake it would be skin and rattle), not just for fun. To attract coyotes, I made a coyote call, then crouched in a shrub and stood still. Five minutes, nothing. I did the call again. Waited about a minute, then got a legitimate coyote call. It wasn't a human screwing with us, it was more than one. The calls got closer, then they stopped. But it wasn't over. The bushes about forty feet started to move. Then thirty feet away, then about fifteen feet away. The silence turned into growling. My friend, being the wuss he is, started to run. To save him, since he's short as an Oompa Loompa, I fired a pellet into the bush, then began to fire blanks, which are a lot louder. The coyotes went further and further away. Enough time for us to run back to my house. Long story short I nearly got my ass killed/badly mauled. |

".22"
What is with the .22s around here?
Get a real gun.
Even a 20 gauge shotgun will work.
Anything but a .22 |

Get a 9mm.
Perfect for people who don't like recoil.
I love my 9mm Hi-Point model 995.
My favorite gun I own though, is my .303 British Army 1917 Enfield, actually registered to have been used in World War One. |

If you call 5-7 shots at 10+ feet "in a heartbeat" then yes. |

trust me it'll only take 1 bullet.
a .22 will go straight through a deer.
my dad is in the homicide unit, and he gets most murders from kids playing around with their .22's. |

"a .22 will go straight through a deer"
Do you even hunt?
I have three .22s, and I tried hunting with one of them.
I shot a deer at 50 meters away, and when my step-dad finished it off with a 12 gauge, we found that the .22 shot barely even punctured the deer. |
