Okay, I admit i was trolling a few threads back, but just hear me out for a second.
A lot of players will go around and say to other players that they have reported messages along the lines of:
"Have fun in banland," "I have notified my supervisors of this thread. If they agree with me, then you will be banned,"
or any other form of taunting a player as they report them.
It needs to be broken to people that THIS IS MEAN.
It hurts feelings in the same way as cyberbullyinh
It makes people feel like they are being destroyed by a higher power.
This behavior of "report taunting" has got to stop. |

Mods could never know all of the people that say it. No filter could do that for them, either.

You're saying that telling someone you reported them is going to make them commit suicide?
You're hilarious.

"No you ignorant!"
I can't find the purpose of this sentence. Are you taunting me?
"I was stating that excessive taunting has made people commit suicide."
Telling someone you reported them is not taunting. Saying "You're an ugly loser who has no friends!" is taunting.
"Cyberbullying is a very real issue."
I understand it is. You've taken it out of context.

| It shouldn't be allowed to say that you reported someone. It serves no purpose and is therefore spam. It also bumps up whatever post was reported, which puts some blame on the poster. Finally, as the poster points out, it is an aggressive statement. "See you in banland" is really just an indirect way of saying, "I hope you get banned." |

Stating that you reported them is not to hurt their feelings. It's to make them shut the heck up.
If they get their feelings hurt because they got reported, they: -Are too sensitive -Need to stop being so emotional about the Internet -Need to accept responsibility for their reportable action -Need to grow up

Contradictions, hypocrisy, and "taunting". I thought you were trying to STOP taunting. |

I find that post hilariously inaccurate. et's elaborate, shall we?
1. Who are you to judge a person for having hurtable feelings? 2. The internet is an alternate form of face-to-face communication, but without the faces, so people will get just as emotional as if in conversation 3. Can agree with that, but yelling at a person that you reported them won't solve the problem 4. If someone grew up, they would realize that what they're saying can hurt others, and should stop saying it.
Plus, stating that you reported somebody does not incline them to stop, it inclines them to feel upset
I hate to break it to you, pal, but not everyone has the shallow emotional capacity of a Call of Duty MW3 playing 13 year old boy. |

"-Need to accept responsibility for their reportable action"
Yes, that's true. However, to accept responsibility would be to undo whatever wrongs were done, to apologize (sincerely), or to stand by your action and accept the consequence - posts saying "Reported." do not contribute to that. |

I'm sorry, hypocritical*
Anyway, most of the people here that have posted are not ignorant. They may be ignorant on this specific subject, but do not make assumptions. |

| By the way, what if the people you are calling "truly ignorant" are very emotional and sensitive and commit suicide because of what you have said?! Just kidding, they wouldn't do that (I hope), but you can't say people are mean and be mean to others. |

| you have a point there... but they're the ones saying that people need to "grow up" and :not be so sensitive" and "change their emotional character" which is physically impossible, and reflective of ignorance, but not total ignorance, somewhere between levels 1 and 2. |

"I find that post hilariously inaccurate. et's elaborate, shall we?"
And I find you're posts hypocritical.
"1. Who are you to judge a person for having hurtable feelings?"
One with common sense.
"2. The internet is an alternate form of face-to-face communication, but without the faces, so people will get just as emotional as if in conversation"
Not at all. You don't know who anyone is over the Internet. Therefore, their opinion does not matter nearly as much as someone you know.
"3. Can agree with that, but yelling at a person that you reported them won't solve the problem"
It'll make them shut up. Problem solved in my book.
"4. If someone grew up, they would realize that what they're saying can hurt others, and should stop saying it."
They also realize that people overreact, and therefore, is not their problem.
Plus, stating that you reported somebody does not incline them to stop, it inclines them to feel upset
"I hate to break it to you, pal, but not everyone has the shallow emotional capacity of a Call of Duty MW3 playing 13 year old boy."
You are a very skilled hypocrite aren't you? Besides the fact that you clearly just taunted me, you also failed at assuming several things. -I'm not 13. -I've never played MW3, nor do I have any desire to. -I'm not shallow. I know when people need to man up.
