| I've been to Russia. It's a lot nicer than my home country, that's for sure. |

| I knew about the Spetsnaz before all the CoD fan boys put them in the spot light. (My father who is a PMC worked with an ex-Spetsnaz) Also yes I do enjoy the AK series of rifles. Honestly I prefer the never AK-74. Especially the Romanian version. |

| Their are dozens of alternatives other than the AK-47 the only reason I think that's if famous is that you can hand it to anyone and they can pretty much start killing with it. |

As I listed, I prefer the Romanian remake.
The reason it is such a popular gun would be because of the reliability. Also the 5.56 NATO round is about as effective as a dart gun. It makes nice neat holes. |

>What are you talking about?
My 223 busted a Hog's side real nice. I hit it in the gut's Doesn't matter if it was 7.62 or 5.62 you would have no chance piercing anything on the rib's To much fat.
Really in my opinion in a direct conflict a larger round does not matter in rifle's.
Unless perhap's we are talking a 9mm pistol. ----------------- My fault, I meant the 5.56x45mm, the .223 is similar but they are not the same. Also a hog < Person with body armor
As this is true, the grain does. The AK has a higher grain. |

| I hunt a lot, and it depends on the body armor, if we are talking standard issue then yes, if we are talking ceramic plates, it goes to the man with plates. |

| Ya, my dad had a set when he was in Iraq, it was supposed to be able to take 6 PKM rounds before being compromised. |

| The joke is," The standard vest keeps the bullet from going through you, so it stays in you." |

| My dad's friend used to say,"Either real body armor or none." He refused to wear standard issue vest, or carry an M4. In fact the whole squad carried odd ball weapons. One carried a Sawed off, one carried a Romanian AK-74, one carried an RPK, one carried a scoped M-14, and one carried a MP5. |
