My old one is an "ASUS G74S" (1800 dollars plus 200 insurance), and I'm getting a newer one, by "ASUS", (3000 pounds 300 insurance). It's essentially the same thing, except with multiple monitor compatibility, updated graphics card, more hard drive space, and it comes with 2 monitors... It also looks different, having a bit more of a metallic sheen to it.
Unfortunately, it's a notebook/laptop.
So, should I invest in the new one, getting maybe three monitors, and getting a set-up to fit it? Or should I instead get a nice desktop, so it's easier to alter it to fit my gaming needs? |

Please, if you have nothing viable to say, just keep it to yourself. |

| So, unless you were born into an international terrorism organization, why is it that you use two forms of currency... |

I'm not showing it off, I'm asking a question.
Please, let's be civil about this. |

| Oh damn, sorry. I mean 2000 dollars and 3000 dollars, not 3000 pounds. |

he's trying to look smart
but he's failing
that's all overkill, OP.
you don't need nearly that much for a good gaming experience. it's a waste of money.
How did you get all of that money anyways? |

@rst
I have a compaq laptop from 2006 and it still runs. Now, it has three keys missing, a thin blue line through the middle of the screen, and it's slow as hell. But it still runs. |

Yeah, I've had a lot of laptops/notebooks/whatever we're supposed to call them, and never really had too many problems with overheating. The cooling system on the g74s was fantastic, for the most part. Money isn't necessarily a problem for me with computers, as I'm willing to spend all I need to get a good computer. I think I might just get the laptop, and if it does break down after a couple years, get a desktop.
Also, rich relatives, bro, rich relatives. |
