I agree with Julien. Whenever I need to talk to somebody more than a few cities away I just shout louder than usual.

"No, they're easy to take with u and do things u while u're off the computer."
...
Just go to your computer, then.
Oh, you can't because you're not at home? Why aren't you at home, then?
Oh, because you're at school? Well, if you're at school, THEN WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING WITH A MOBILE DEVICE THERE?
In fact, mobile devices aren't even allowed at my school. Neither in classes, nor anywhere in the school. Even when we're not during class time. Probably because they're too easy to steal and because they're not worth taking with you everywhere.
"I agree with Julien. Whenever I need to talk to somebody more than a few cities away I just shout louder than usual."
That's not what I do. I just take a stationary phone and use it. I mean, I don't spend my whole day talking to people on a mobile phone... |

In pauses or when we have no class or when I may after I finished an exam (when there's time left) and several other things.
And yes they're allowed @ my school. |

I like how Julien assumes all anybody here ever does is go to school and sit at home.

@TheMyrco The only ones I've seen in this century were are on my University's campus, and they're only usable for dialing emergency numbers. |

HTC One X is amazing. Android... you never cease to amaze me. Honestly, it is just like being on a computer - since I can practically do everything a computer can; and if I can't - I tether to my computer.

And what if you want to communicate while being in a car/bus/taxi/boat/lobby/toilet/hole/sidewalk |

@TheMyrco They're out in the middle of the paths on campus. Search up "University of Montana emergency phone" in Google Images and hit the first result. |

| Um why in the world would stationary phones disappear? Do you know how practical they are? Cell phones suck for using them inside a house. |

| @myrkos: Each building has one, and on some places near the road (each within a distance of 1 km (for each roadtype)) and u can just simply walk into a building (or knock on at a door) and ask if u could use the phone. We aren't as greedy as the stereotype says (well msot of us aren't greedy at all, but ok). |

| Motorola Droid 3, with CM9. I'll forever have an incomplete CM9 without hardware codecs, though, because Motorola ditched my device completely from the upgrade path to ICS. I blame Verizon for this, they've been getting incredibly money hungry lately. First the announcement that I'll no longer be grandfathered into unlimited data (despite the fact that when I got my Droid 3, they told me I would continue to indefinitely be grandfathered into unlimited data, including when I upgraded to a 4G device if I wished to), and now I assume they pressured Motorola to take the D3 off the upgrade path so that the Droid 4 can kill off the D3 once and for all. |
