| Alex, Baseball is in the Summer, and Cross Country is in the beginning of the year. Do Cross Country, then tryout for baseball in the summer next year. If you want to know anything ask me, I know everything there is. |

nope our baseball actually just ended a few days ago. I think it start @ the end of May.
The reason i don't want to do cc is because right now, no one and I mean no one would probobly even expect me to try out because they know im not that good @ baseball. So i want to practice as much as I can every day. I plan to practice at the bare minimum 2 - 2.5 hrs a day. cc goes for about 3 months in HS. thats a lot of hours taken away becasue ik for a fact that i will hardly practice the time that im doing cc. and yes, ik most people will not be practicing this early, but that's the point. i need as much practice as i can get to catch up a little. |

Alex, I have every one of those machines plus more of them. The one with the ball on the string really gives you a better and straighter swing.
I also play baseball, and have a good chance of making the varsity team, right now I'm looking at colleges and all that and I'm a freshman. I know everything about 3rd base and hitting. So just ask me anything. |

Well, you put the ball at the top and you get in your stance and then all of a sudden it comes out and your supposed to react really quickly, you can also adjust the thing to make it faster or slower.
I have a Juggs machine, which is two tires that through curves and different pitches. It helps me hit off-speed.
I also have this throwback thing, idk whats it called. But, you throw a ball at it and it throws back a hard grounder or pop-up and really helps me focus on mechanics and things. |

Well, the juggs machine is a LOT of money, we have a batting cage in the back and it cost around a couple thousand, and the throwback thing, it's not that much, i just dont remember the name or anything.
But, whenever I want to work on infield, I get a squishy ball(tennis ball) and throw it against the brick on my house, pretty much around the garage.
Like, I find a small piece of brick and make a target, I go back alot, and throw it hard at the target and it bounces back and I get a grounder, then I work on accuracy by throwing the ball at the target. |

do you think this would be good? http://goo.gl/yaiPK
it basically helps fielding and quickness with your reactions time b/c you never know where its gonna go.
or there is also this one: http://goo.gl/qUTx8
this you can adjust so you can focus on popups, grounders, and liners.
idk which one i should get :/ |

Yeah, that was exactly what i was talking about, when i said throwback machine.
But, I would say if your a second baseman, you should get the 2nd one, because no one really hits over there unless they are late on the ball, and when they do, its not that hard and you can react to it, also their would be a lot of popups to 2nd too.
But, if your a 3rd baseman, you should get the first because, a lot of people hits darts to 3rd, and you have almost a second to react to it when the pitcher releases it, sosooo idk.. |

Well, I play 3rd and I throw around 70-75 mph dart to first, and the pros throw around 80 mph to first from 3rd.
You could try shortstop, thats in the middle, but you have to learn a lot there.
Or 2nd base, if you dont have the best arm. |
