The above is a link to an MMORPG-Tycoon-Life hybrid I'm working on, it's currently at approx. 0.5164% completed, and I still have loads of things that I plan on adding to it. Even so, I am looking to get feedback from people on my progress thus far.
Credits:
Davidii; Forage, Craft, Backpack, and Eat/Drink tools. Craft has been modified quite a bit from the original. Found them some time ago when S303 went public for a bit.
Kitteh6660; Starter GUI's. Slightly modified certain GUI's. For example; Age GUI has been modified to be Years, rather than days. Found em looking for a set to start my game off with.
Keisuki; Spawn-save system. Completely unedited system to allow spawn saving in towns. Provided to me upon request.
KevaBlack9; Various scripts behind the game. Most of which, completely unedited. Provided to me upon request. |

It sounds good, and I would try it out if I could play games. But can't at the moment.
As for the free models, only using 4 and editing them isn't nessecarily a bad thing, firebrand. I mean, look at how many unedited free models the average person uses... |

Yes, and I've used a few things from free models in my time, but when you get your Game Engine, Tools, and Guis from free models, it loses most of it's originality and becomes more of a patchwork of other peoples' games.
I'd refrain from comparing games to the "average person" because the average person on ROBLOX is a 9 year old kid who enjoys "[Feed/Escape from/Who killed] [random nickolodean character]" games and litters their baseplates with cool stuff they found in free models.
Let's up the standard a bit.
Oh, and I forgot to opine on the idea. It sounds like it could be good, but like I said, use as much of your own stuff as you can. |

In my defense on that free model thing, I just listed all the models that are not mind that I used. Theres well over 200 models in the game right now, and by the time it is finished there will probably be 1,000+. 2% of the current game was not made by me. By the time it is finished, 0.004% or less will be what is not made by me.

Scripts count as more than models dude. In fact, I'd say total scripting makes up an average of half of a real game, depending on the complexity. So seeing as how you edited them, ~43.3034% of your game will be unoriginal. (See what I did there?)
Specifics like 0.004% aren't impressive, it's obvious you're just making it up. |

No, I seriously wasn't making that up. Also; currently less than half of the content of the game is scripting. Current scripts: 31 Current models including scripts: 1,147*approx. 2 (Took the time to count about half them.)

I seriously don't believe you...
There's no way to judge that. I didn't say half the objects in game would be affected by scripting, I said half the game would be the code that runs it.
Number of scripts means nothing. It's the sheer amount of code/design that you got from free models that makes your game unoriginal.
I'm not gonna argue with you. My suggestion is to use your own stuff, that's it. |

I plan to add more details into the game later on. That's the last thing I am going to do, since it is simply for aesthetic quality, and does not directly affect the game. |

| Not for me, but then again my computer doesn't lag from brick count, just from materials and the new terrain, and I avoid materials and terrain as much as possible. |
