I just got a new Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook. I'm pretty satisfied with this purchase and the keyboard is phenomenal. What are you using?

(and before you flip out because I bought a $1000 laptop from Dell, take a moment to consider that maybe you're just angry because you can't afford one.)

In the same spirit, I have a Macbook Air. It's pretty awesome for lots of stuff.

Yes, that's why I don't use Windows.

Windows is hands-down the greatest OS of the other two. You seriously can't deny that unless if you want to look rebellious and cool and hackish when you can basically do everything on a Mac on a Windows.

Why can't I deny that when I can do anything I would do on a small Windows laptop better on a Macbook plus other goodies like UNIX stuff?

What can't you do on Windows?
I've used Windows all my life and I have to admit that I never had any programming limitations with it.

What can't you do on OS X?
Windows doesn't even have Apache2, MySQL, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc. installed by default, some of which require days of headaches to make work.

I've been theorizing about booting my old hacked Wii with WiiToo (a Wii linux distribution) and turning it into a dev box, as I barely ever use my Wii anymore since I got a PS3, except for homebrew. However, after seeing the specs for the Wii's processor...

Microsoft (read: Microsoft, not hardware manufacturers) puts no bloatware in Windows and allows people to install whatever they want and if software developers make things hard to install, why are you blaming Windows?

Tenal has shifted to the anti-hipster side,

hating on anything that isn't mainstream.

I have a MacBook from like '08,

significantly better than my PC, which I only use for ROBLOX Studio.

Yay for Mac ports.

I'm not blaming Windows, I'm simply stating that it's nice that Apple puts these quality pieces of software in its OS by default. It's not like Microsoft should do so too, but the fact that Apple does places its OS a step higher.

I've got a custom build computer from late last year/early this year and it runs Windows 8 Consumer Preview fast enough to make my hard drive my bottleneck. :/

Those kinds of things aren't meant to be for the everyday computer user. If anything, a software meant to be used by the everyday user (such as Skyp3) should be installed on the computer by default.

Old gateway with a pentium and 756 gb of ram with 18 gb hdd. I had to fix it up and add the ram, but it was worth it(2004 piece of junk). I managed to bios lock myself from the hdd so I had to replace it.

Oh boy, another windows/linux/mac argument...

Windows - For home gaming/work

Mac - For medium sized businesses, DJ's, etc

Linux - For servers

For me, I use Linux for developing and creating (Not just software and applications, but images, web pages, papers, synths, etc.)

I use Windows for gaming, commercial software, etc.

Essentially, for me, Linux is for making and Windows is for doing.

"I've used Windows all my life and I have to admit that I never had any programming limitations with it."

The same would have been true on any other OS.

Do you really think there is any limitation on either Mac or Linux? Nope.

They do some things better than others, but don't even think about limitations.

"such as Skyp3"

What, that's for the "everyday user"?

Certainly not for me, at least.

I use GNU/Linux for everything except playing ROBLOX.

And.. yeah, the only two games I play are ROBLOX and Minecraft... I admit it...
