Exodus 13:21 "By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night."
Pillar of cloud by day, and pillar of fire by night, sound familiar? A cloud of ash, a top of molten rock.
Oh, and let's not forget:
Exodus 19:3 "Then Moses climbed the mountain to appear before God. The LORD called to him from the mountain and said, "Give these instructions to the family of Jacob; announce it to the descendants of Israel:"
What is significant about this is that it says that Moses saw God on the mountain. The problem with this is that certain volcanoes emit toxic fumes which are very hallucinogenic. This being said, it is very possible that Moses was seeing some sort of being due to large amounts of toxic fumes and smoke.
Therefore: Exodus is debunked. |
