| Of course, there's the honor and glory and adrenaline rush that you get when an enemy bullet implodes your skull. Totally worth it. |

There are benifits from serving your country, though the pay is bad. Just enough to keep you alive.
I want to be an aviator when I grow up, I also want to become an infantryman. |

People like you make us gamers/interneteers/hackers look bad. Which is really not fair, because we are, in my opinion, some of the "best" social castes in the world- in many different ways. To use as general a word as "best".
Which is really ironic.

Join the Air Force, if you really want to be in the military.
It's safe, the training's easy, you actually learn useful things, and it looks REALLY good on a resume if you were a technician, engineer, pilot, or even ATC operator. |

I agree with the Sarge.
If I had to be in the military, I would choose the Air Force. It gives an opportunity to learn about and work with cutting edge- literally, military grade- computing technology.
Not to mention the inexorable Top Gun references in your coding. Oh, right, those were already there.

Most people nowadays want to join the military due to the large amount of FPS games; people think it's cool.
When they go in to the military, they'll regret.
Me? Either a pilot, or an architect, or an engineer. I've been interested in mechanics when I was a kid, since I completely disassembled my bike and assembled it back when I was less than 4. lol. I also have an attraction to aviation, and also love to design buildings and interior.
My dad says I should be a pilot first, so I could get money first, since the training is fast and the pay is high. After, I have enough money to support myself, I could then move on to what I want to do. :)

I used to want to be an architect. But then I tried reading the Fountainhead and it kind of killed that.
So now I want to either be a mechanical engineer or an electrical engineer. |

My uncle is a social engineer. I think it's something like that. He's been to China, India, and I think Japan a few times.

I want to be a web designer. I'm going to be an accountant first, though. I can run a website in my spare time, which will probably be a lot...

The Air Force is the technical part of the military, and it's mostly fixing aircraft, organizing them, and for a few, flying them on patrols. Bombs aren't really dropped that much, and when they are, the pilots return back to base. Their hasn't been a dogfight between the USAF and another air force in years, mainly because the people we fight use Guerrilla tactics, and have no way of obtaining aircraft.
The Air Force, like other branches of the military, is NOT fun and games. It's hard work, there's a strict routine, and you're expected to get the job done right. |

@Sgt
Yeah, I know. My friend's dad goes to Virginia for some kind of military training every summer, and usually he comes back looking like he had been out working 7 days a week and had 6 sleepless nights.
