[Edition 1]

I may reformat this with more detail or instructions.

It seems these days that there aren't many people with disciplined clans. I understand the logic behind the fact that "Roblox is for fun, and clans are a part of Roblox. Thus we don't need to be super serious!"

But if you use that logic, you HAVE TO accept the fact that your clan WILL be inferior. You will NEED to accept defeats and get used to losing, because it is going to happen quite often.

I'm not saying clans can't be fun, but you mustn't forget that a disciplined army is a successful one.

With that said, let me introduce you to some methods on how you can make your clan "superior" when it comes to politics/ training/ raiding/ and the like.

--[Behavior]--

If you are a leader, or a high rank in a clan, you MUST use exemplary behavior in front of your subordinates.

You must avoid all language that would make you seem... Like a 13 year old.
Examples of this are the use of common memes, "ir0n1c n00b sp3ak" which isn't even ironic to begin with, using shortened words such as "plz", and most importantly: REFRAIN FROM USING THE WORD "NOOB."

The way you speak gives a first impression to everyone around you.
Make an effort to make it a good one.

--[Activity]--

Lack of activity within a clan is what makes a clan die. You must put out reasons for your members to continue serving.

There are many methods of doing this, and I'll explain a few right here:

--= Hosting raids/ trainings quite often. Constantly having an enemy (But not an overwhelming amount of them) is GREAT.

While I'm on this topic, make sure you don't go into war with clans that are not fit to the scale of YOURS. If your clan only has 500 members, don't declare war on JC. They won't care.

Try to find clans with similar amounts of members as yours.

--= Making the clan unique. No one wants to experience the same thing OVER and OVER and OVER again.

And by this, I'm referring to themes of a clan.

If your clan is the typical modern military themed, blue and grey colored, mediocre clan, then don't expect people to be excited to join or partake.

You must create some sort of gimmick, or THEME to your clan.
VAK has the dark, sinister, "evil" theme.
FC has unique weapons and bases which their name.
And there are many Medieval themed clans out there which I'm sure are fun to take part in.

--= Make your members feel accomplished.

One major mistake a lot of clans seem to make is that people like promotions FAST. NO.

What's the point in getting a promotion if you barely worked for it?

Make your members pass the test of patience and time. Make earning a promotion feel GOOD, and accomplishing by making it hard to earn.

Perhaps making the first 2 or 3 ranks of your clan's ranks somewhat easily achievable under a month duration, but just that amount.

This method works more effectively if your clan has a good reputation. Being disciplined, and making EXTREME impressions is a good way to earning a good reputation.

--= Be active yourself. Encourage players to be defending bases. (A way of doing this is by rewarding players which are guarding even when a high rank isn't there)

Active high ranks and leaders are vital to the success of a clan.

--[Training]--

This is a subject a LOT of clans do just absolutely wrong.

If training consists of "SF tournaments" "Gun fights" and "Obby trainings," then just forget it. All you are training your members to do is fight well in one on one combat.

And for a clan... That doesn't really matter...

You should train your members to succeed in following orders (such as "regroup", "flank left/ right", "Divert" or "Send decoy"), and to fight without accidentally shooting each other.

A good way of teaching combat is to make sure your members are lined up horizontally with open space between them, so that no one gets caught in crossfire.

Another important thing during trainings is that you absolutely MUST keep your pupils in order. Don't use punishments such as "/freeze" or "/punish", be SERIOUS. Only allow one warning. And if they kill another member, or jump around and refuse to stay in line, EXILE.

Not a demotion. EXILE. Show to the rest of the members that you don't need SCUM.

But discipline could be taken too far as well.

Don't punish members for speaking back at you, or pointing out mistakes.
Accept constructive criticism. Don't let your pride blind your judgement.

But apply that to them as well. When, for example, you're showing them a sword tactic, and they speak up saying "My sword tactic is awesome, i use it all the time!", without asking permission to speak or anything, that is a good time to give warnings.

I'm sure that some of their input may be great, but not all of it. Players which interrupt before you've finished giving your lesson are annoying to everyone. Punish THOSE people.

--[Raiding]--

This has very much to do with keeping a good reputation.

No matter how fun surprise raids may be to do, make sure you don't make them without warning.

Say you found a clan that you think would make a good enemy.

Instead of raiding this clan once or twice, and declaring cheap victories because you were kicked for flaming/ empty server raiding... You should focus more on making long term activity for your group.

If you have an obvious enemy which is willing to raid you back, your clan members will have something to do.

Now, maintaining this relationship with an enemy clan is important. Doing surprise raids ruins this.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't plan surprise raids AT ALL; just make sure you inform the other clan that you are in fact an enemy, and that they should be on their toes because of you.

You can do this by sending a war declaration to their leader, and coming to a comprise of war (So that you both deem each other as being worthy enemies), and then over the course of a month host raids on each other.

Once you've declared this status with the enemy clan, THEN it is okay to send surprise raids. That way, they will count the raids being made towards them.

It is important that you don't be stingy when they raid you. Don't use cheap tricks to accuse them of exploiting or empty server raiding. War is 99% of the time UNFAIR. If you accept this fact, and exemplify it, then the other group owner will treat their defeats with equal dignity. This is important to keeping a clan reputation as well.

You must also accept the fact that "Only those prepared to die should fight."

Meaning that you should be ready to accept defeat before declaring war. Your clan is not invincible. No one's is.
