In the Bill of Rights, second amendment,
Verbatim:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
-------------------
How do you interpret this, and can you justify your answer?
-- Does it simply mean that U.S. citizens have the right to bear any weapon? Could someone have a "read-to-go" atomic bomb and claim that their right to have it is protected by the second amendment?

I dont think nuclear weapons are classified as small arms.
Or even destructive weapons. Or even militairy-grade weapons. What point are you trying to make?
Assault rifles is enough for a well-regulated civilian militia, the NG can do the rest. |

| His point is that the constitution makes no distinction between atomic bombs and bb guns. |

| Eh, the founding fathers really couldn't have expected nuclear warheads. |

| Which is the logical problem with the Constitution. Other than it's existence being merely political. |

Every citizen has the right to fight against tyranny.
Like all rights, it can be abused. |

Sounds good,
I'll now proceed to persecute you for not following my religion and for speaking out against the government, since the bill of rights doesn't apply anymore. |

Much in the same way that we should ignore Newton's Laws of Motion, since there were no automobiles to apply them to when they were theorized. |

Doesn't specifically refer to weapons.
Maybe it was supposed to refer to human arms, or the right to own arms from a bear? We'll never know! |
