Hmmmmm, what about a customisable character GUI when you join the game like the one in skyrim. Featuring things such as different races, hats and maybe some other things? |

Advanced AI will really sell the game.
I mean, look at history. Historically, many games have succeeded over others because their programming contained much more intelligent AI than their competitors. I think you can all name some examples.
In my opinion, if you really want to sell it and hype it up as the best and most advanced RPG on Roblox, go for an advanced AI as your selling point. Have development or total development teams put an emphasis on developing the AI.
This was actually posted earlier, but I'm elaborating moar on it.
As in, I'm bored and want to code something and sound smart while doing it.

Yep, our team is working on AI enemies and NPCs. Some of the enemies won't be aggressive (mainly the lower level ones) and as you work your way to higher levels the more aggressive they become. |

| That sprint speed idea is great, and maybe the NPCs you would sell gold, silver, copper to will only buy so much of one currency. Perhaps have a limit for what each NPC character can buy off you, as in real life, you coudln't keep buying something over and over. But maybe a certain NPC could buy more than another, so to balance it out. |

Hmmm, as we are going for something original..
What do you guys think about randomly generated map? Currently we have made a weak copy of it, (trees, small map, water etc..) maybe we can attempt to expand it out to randomly generating large maps including villages, mountains and possibly caves.
I know this is a long shot as we would need to make the NPC's and enemies be spawned in rightful habitats, however it would be something original and never seen before. |

Not only will that lag A TON, but be pretty difficult to do.
We were actually discussing in Scripters that to avoid lag with terrain generators, we would run the terrain generator once and save it as that.
As in the terrain would be randomly generated, except generated only once and therefore every server has the same terrain.
To narrow this down and make it more manageable and possible to code, let's make either- 1- Only specific areas are randomly generated 2-There are only a few possibilities for terrain. As in, the terrain is not traditionally generated using a random terrain generator, but a random number decides whether to load x, y, or z. The different possible terrains would be pre-made, but it would still be "random" in a sense.
Concept on Random Terrain Generation
Zone 1 possibilityA- Zone 2 possibilityA- Zone 3 possibilityA- XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX [Tutorial Dungeon]xxxXXXXXXXXx[Dungeon]xxXXXXXXxxx[Dungeon]XXXXXXXXXXXXX xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx[Town]xxxxxXXXXxxx[DungeonXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX xxxxxx[Starting TownXXXXXXXXxxxxxxxxxxxxXXX[Dungeon].xxxxx[Final Dungeon]XX xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxXXXXXXXX[Dungeon]xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Each zone would have 3 or more possibilities, with a random number generator deciding which of those 3 are used as the terrain. Maybe the possibilities could be saved as models to make it easier. There would be a zonexPossibilityA, zonexPossiiblityB,zonexPossibilityC, etc.

Too lazy to read your whole post but yeah it would lag a bunch but maybe they could do something so theres a maximum amount of things loaded at a time ,and an option board for it for example , Low (200 studs of blocks loaded) Medium(500 Studs of blocks loaded) Standard (1000) High (recommend good computers ((3000-5000 studs?) or something around that. |

'Not one of the ordinary 'Oh look another monster LETS KILL' sort of RPG's but based on free roam, with a story twisted within main quests/side-quests. '
I wish more RPG creators had that philosophy.
Spunky idea, time machines always add a twist to gameplay.

There should be a "story" to the RPG, well there should be talking to others, teamwork, you could add some things to kill, not much though...BETTER YET, MAKE A ARENA AND MAK THING COME AFTER YOU AS A chalenge then you get somthing or whatever

What if an NPC (an unimportant one, not a shopkeeper or quest giver) could be attacked and destroyed like an enemy, but if they do that, the are given either: -minus points. take some EXP away maybe? or; -bad points (made like another currency) that you don't want many of. Hope it helped,

Hmmm so sort of like a hero/villain play-though? You start exactly the same but earn 'good reputation' by helping out strangers etc.. Whilst earning 'bad reputation' for killing civilians, robbing etc..

The Hero/villian idea could have something like a change-reputaion thing, like if you have a bad reputation, you can earn it back by defeating specific monsters (ones maybe included in the story line as a threat to somewhere or something), and then can gain a good reputaion.
