Alienware > Overpriced, sometimes 3 to 4 times the price of what it is worth. > Horrible Dell Customer Support > The Alienware versions of the Video card's fans are 4 times smaller of what it's supposed to be. > Most of the Parts are Low end-overheating parts made in a sweatshop in China. > For the price of 1 $3000 Dollar alienware I could buy two Higher quality Laptops for around 2K Those are just SOME of the reasons for why Alienwares are bad.
Self built PC > Save Money > A 900$ Custom built PC can outperform a 3000$ Alienware. > High Quality Parts > Gain some PC experience from building. > Can upgrade Easily in the Future > If you have more money you can build a Beast machine > If a Part somehow breaks you can easily get a replacement for free.
I might add more reasons too why Alienware is bad. |

Nononono, you don't seem to understand. ALIENWARE COMPUTERS HAVE COOL COLOURS RUNNING ALONG THEIR SIDES!
AND YOU CAN CHANGE THOSE COLOURS EVERY DAY!
Also, you can easily open it up and access the part for fast and painfree upgrading. There are NO WIRES on the main door, have you seen how bad home rigs look?
Alienware computers just have so much too them, you can't beat them by building a custom rig. You'd be stupid to even try, and even then you'd pay more. |

| Don't know if trolling, or if extremely stupid. First off if you want good Cable management there is a thing called " Zip-ties". If you like the pretty colors of the case get an Alienware case off of Ebay. |

Yeah, but you can't fit all of those parts in there like they do, they're sodding experts at the job.
Good Cable management? I just want to be able to open up my system easily to add my new CPU without digging through 100 cables. And you have to cut Zip-ties to get them off, which means that you have a pretty good chance of cutting one of your wires. Do you even want to gamble with that? No, you don't.
Alienwares are obviously more elegant, more powerful, more human. |

| Get a bigger tower case if you want to fit your parts. If you cut your wires while cutting a Zip-tie it probably means you're a retard and you shouldn't even be attempting to build a rig. |

I can't get a bigger towercase if I want an Alienware tower. I already told you, they are masters when it comes to putting all of the parts in effectively and with perfect heat-sync everywhere. And plus, I probably have a 0.1 chance of cutting a wire when cutting zip-ties. Eventually that is going to get to me, you know, when I'm cutting them to replace things.
@Seamusblox, I just wanted to make an Asyndeton, but I didn't have the words to do it. (; |

| @Prind, Congratulations for wasting 1500$ Dollars on a crappy Alienware. It depends what games you play and what type of Alienware it is. |

Your heatsync is going to be all off then and you'll fry your processor!
Don't you know a thing about tempatures in computers? |

| It's simple to put a Heat-sync on a Processor. Just put the Thermal paste on the CPU the slowly put on the Heat-sync and let the thermal-compound spread, then screw the Heat-sync into place. Simple. |

But the ventilation in the rest of the computer! Your custom rig isn't going to flow properly in the case, and is going to overhead. Even if you use one of alienware's advanced rigs, you have to lay everything out properly. And trust me, they know more about it than you do.
Face it, alienwares are better than anything you can come up with. |

Yeah, but then you increase the risk of you cutting wires when you upgrade parts.
And face it, you'll upgrade your parts eventually, considering how quicky computers grow. That's why Alienware makes it so easy to replace parts, and why you have to get through about one hundred screws before you can even touch the rest of the parts.
And your motherboard's sockets aren't probably going to support all of the same parts again, so you'll have to go out and buy new parts, which will increase your cost over that if you had just bought an alienware of the same caliber.
And you still don't have the lights bro, do you have any idea how cool those are? |
