((I'll start out with the rules for this roleplay. The Roblox rules of course as well as.. Magic is allowed, yet if it becomes too godmodish you might be asked to change what you said, or even leave the roleplay. All races are allowed, same rules apply though - No godmodding. If you are using MagicPotato as a race, not many, if any people will know what that is, so please describe what it is. Also, if you are an Orc, and I mean the usual sterotype here, you wouldn't have magic in your blood, you would have to learn it. You would also probably focus more on war magic. Now to the rules of the land - You may add in various things, but not alter those that others have put in without their permission. Also, please try to spell correctly, no uncanny knowledge, etc. Let me know if I've missed anything.)

(There is currently no name for the land, feel free to suggest one.)

(The features of the land already there are - A tavern (how this roleplay got its name), some woods near the tavern, and a temple which worships all Gods up upon a mountain after going along the path near the tavern a while longer. The other end of the path could go pretty much anywhere, but no more taverns can be added near the road between this tavern and the temple, due to how it got its name.)

The winter wind air blew the snow from the trees, falling just after the man with the hood walked forward. He turned to glance at it, before marching forward. Darkness clouded most of his vision, due to it being night. He increased his pace, moving through the forest rather than from the road. He came upon the tavern, checking the sign swaying just to left of it and grinning. 'Gods-Grace tavern' so called since it was the last place to eat and rest before heading forwards for miles towards the temple. He pushed open the heavy oaken door. The winter wind blew in as it opened, covering the floor near the door in a slight snow. He went over to the counter, buying an ale from the barmaid, along with securing a room upstairs for the night. He went to take a seat in the corner furthest from the fire, surrounding himself almost completely in shadow. There were two more chairs around the table, and one of those was within the darkest of the shadow. Taking a sip from his drink he glanced over at the fire for a moment, noticing a little girl warming herself by the fire, humming as the glow faintly brushed her skin, her long brown hair moving as she swung softly in time with the tune. He also noticed an old man, sitting in a chair, reading a leather-bound book. The old man was quite plain, dressed in an old moth-bitten, light brown robe and, unlike the girl, had not a single hair on his head. He moved his gaze back round to the door, looking at the barmaid one last time on the way, noticing her long, somewhat dirty brown hair was tied up, and when she smiled she would expose her yellowed teeth, yet all the same it would seem to light up her tanned weather-worn face. Any who entered now would notice all within, except perhaps the newly entered man. The man was easily missable, dressed in a plain tunic and woolen trousers, dirtied, perhaps from working in a field. The only distinguishable feature about him was his brown hood which shadowed his face.

Night lay heavily over the forest. Foot-steps stirred the frosted-grass at the edge of the path leading up to the tavern. A sihouetted figure was trekking up the steep hill, the cold wind ruffling and battering it's cloak as the coldness of winter lay heavily in the air. The silhouette's breath came out as a silver smoke. The figure was slightly intimidating, not that of a bulky man, but more of the lithe figure of a woman. A cloak concealed it's face, but if you looked closely you might've been able to see a pair of eyes staring back at you. The figure had a belt wrapped around it's waist when the wind ruffled apart it's cloak. There you could see a few hunting knives, but what stood out more was the glinting of two longer blades on each side, obviously for expert use.

In the figure's emerald eyes, the path looked frozen. A small layer of frost lay upon everything. The grass, the path and even the flattened dirt had the layer of white. Nothing looked like it had escaped apart from the small dotted trees that surrounded the clearing. The moon hung high in the sky in a half crescent, shrowding half of the forest in darkness. The snow seemingly sparkling under the silver light.

Crunching of snow sounded from under the strapped black boots as it stepped onto the worn cobbled path, poorly put together as the stones were never on the same level. The sign of the tavern sung out loud and clear among the scene, its dark and wooden exterior lit up by various lanterns and occasionally a small firefly. Wiping it's snow-covered boots on the make-shift welcome mat made from broom bristles as not to get any snow into the tavern. The bell rung as a gloved hand pushed open the door. Making a pleasant ringing sound.

Hand rose up to remove the hood from it's face. The woman looked to be in her older teens, black hair spilled from its place, blue highlights lighting up the black. The girl had shining emerald eyes and high cheek-bones, still pulling off the intimidating look. Inside the in it was quiet, which was strange for this time of the night. Usually everything would happen, from the small dr*nken banter, to the full on fights. Which was a shame as the teen liked the occasional quarrel. She noticed only a few people in the inn, a young girl, an old man, a barmaid and a man with a brown hood covering his face.

Ordering an ale, she sat herself down comfortably, gloved fingers casually tapping at the table as she made herself comfortable in the corner of the room.

He glanced over at the newly entered figure, watching as she pulled down her hood. He grinned, noticing the blades, although his brown eyes showed caution. He motioned for the barmaid to move over, whispering softly in her ear. She then moved away, walking over to the table of the intimidating woman, speaking in a somewhat rough voice "The man over there would like to speak to you.." She motioned with her head at the shadows, before moving off back to the counter. The man in the corner pulled out a small dagger, using it to play a knife game while he waited, yet still he did not take his eyes off the woman.

The small girl who had been warming herself made her way out of the room through a different oaken door, entering what seemed to be at a glance the stables, perhaps to sleep there for the night. The old man continued reading though, glancing up momentarily to watch the woman enter and the girl leave. The fire continued to crackle, yet still no light reached the darkened corner where the hooded man sat.

(Sorry it's quite short, I need my sleep.)

(Why thank you. C:)

Focusing on the feeling of the cool metal sliding around in her hand, the girl flipped her dagger up in the air, before catching it again, pausing to wipe only a little bit of dried bl0od off the sharp edge of the blade. Feeling eyes on her, she turned around to see the man with the hood looking in her general location. Ignoring it, she raised her ale mid-sip until the barmaid approached her, the barmaid opened her mouth to speak, and the teen noticed her yellow teeth and putrid breath.

"The man over there would like to speak to you.." The woman spoke and the teen shivered, the smell of alcohol and a poor attempt to cover it up with perfume lingered. The girl wrinkled her nose in disgust as the woman walked away. She looked over to the man the barmaid had pointed at, before getting up and bringing her ale, mumbling light curses under her breath for making her move.

Slamming the ale down on the man's table, she pulled out a chair an sat down, an icy, emotionless look plastered on her face, hiding annoyance. She paused, before nailing her dagger into the table with one throw, splitting the wood slightly. Leaning back, she placed her feet on the table and leaned back in her chair to make herself comfortable.

(Eh this is Roblox... it doesn't have to be long.)

He man grinned as the dagger quivered within the wood of the table, before placing his own dagger away. "Greetings girl.. Although no need to be so rough with the tables." He chuckled softly, his voice was quite soft as well. "So tell me.. Where would someone like you get blades like that." He chuckled yet again, taking a sip from the slightly chipped tankard before pulling out a small pouch of coins and taking out gold coin by gold coin, laying them on the table in an obvious attempt to draw the womans attention. As he placed the second to last coin on the table he reached for the last one, spinning it on the surface of the table before grabbing it and placing it down with the rest. His grin seemed slightly hollow, as if everything was but an act to him.

(Most of the rest of what I can do depends on you now.. That's why it's getting shorter.)

The room is completely unnoticing the people at the table, except for the teenager by the fire. She stands up and goes to the barmaid for some October ale, where she sits and watches the two figures talk. She spins a knife on her fingers and slips it into her hair.

She slams her ale down and the room goes silent. But the two keep talking. Not noticing any change. The air around them is thick, icy, and smells of blo0d.

(New area, yay!)
The meadow of happiness

Somewhere many miles north of the tavern.

I walk through the meadow, the snow crunching under my feet. It is cold and dark, the wind shaking branches with a rattle. I run around, spotting animals which I would chase for a few minutes and get bored. I soon grow tired and fall backwards into the snow, looking up at the sky. I make out the many constellations in the stars above. I look around at the wonderful place which I call home now. I soon fall asleep, and begin dreaming.

I wake up in my house. I look at the clock at the other side of the room. 6:15. I go into the room where mother and father sleep. However, I look around and nobody is there. I begin searching around the house. My brother is missing too. I walk out the door to look further. "Mom?" I call. "Dad? Brother?" Nothing except a cold gust of wind responded. I knock on the door of my neighbor, Tom, to no avail. I go back to my home, to see it engulfed in flames, the fire quickly spreading to every house for blocks.

I awoke with a start, breathing heavily.

A sharp clatter of hooves can be heard outside, and a pained whinny. A few seconds later and the door is thrust open.

In the frame stands a silhouette of a man, tall but hunched over. He paces forward and can be seen to be clutching his right side, wincing audibly with each step. A hooded black cloak covers most of his features but a tight-fitting set of dark-grey leather armour can be just made out; along with matte black boots, reinforced with metal strips. What would be seen of his face is masked by a series of interwoven linen straps, seeming to be part of the hood itself.

He limps up to the counter, and tossing a small handful of silver onto it, "Use of your bathtub and several rags. Then a hot meal and a room with a window. I'll be more than grateful."

(I don't really get this... Is this like some sort of Sandbox-RP where you just create like a whole new area or something? Confused.)

(Basically, as of yet, there is no story line. Other areas can be created and used however they are needed to be used. So far the only part of the roleplay I am doing centres on the tavern, but later I will probably be moving across the land and such. I suppose in a way it is quite Sandbox-y-ish in that anything could happen. Sorry if I haven't explained it too well.)

A young girl, who looked to be around 10, silently slipped into the tavern. Her skin seemed ghostly white and she wondered if that was why people seemed to ignore her. Many people had misjudged (I forgot the word I was looking for sorry) her like that. Physically she looked like the ghost of a young child even though she was much older than ten. She wasn't sure exactly how old she was but she guessed that she was around 13, maybe 14. Many people underestimated her and thought she was a fragile child who could be taken advantage of. Her small stature supported their guesses. (Again I forgot the word I was looking for)
When she reached the counter she smiled a cute little smile and put a few coins on the counter. "I'm sorry but I am extremely hungry and this is all the money I have. Would it be enough to buy a small meal," she said softly as she twirled one of her auburn curls around her finger.
"Either pay the full price or go hungry," the man said gruffly, not falling for her little act. The girl's face suddenly became bitter as she reached for a few more coins from a pouch hanging from her side. Next to the pouch was a small vial of a strange clear liquid. As she took 2 coins out of her pouch she also grabbed the vial. The girl turned away from the man, pretending to count the small copper coins she held in her gloved hand. A few seconds later she turned back to him, carefully placing the coins on the counter. "There."
Later the girl was sitting near the fireplace, watching the man. When he picked up the coins he practically screamed in pain as he felt the affects of the contact poison. The girl smiled, laughing quietly.

(Sorry its not that good...)

Shortly after a young pale girl had entered the tavern, another tall yet very lanky man had replaced her spot. He eyed everyone in the room as if challenging them. He then slowly walked toward an empty stool, still watching everyone while doing so, his footsteps making slow and long taps. Of course, this was probably drowned out by the noise of drunks and loud conversationalists.

He then slowly sat on the stool, facing the opposite direction of the counter and waiter. Seemingly that he got bored, he decided to order some ale for himself. The man watched the waiter pour the ale into his glass, then slid it down the counter to him, and the man caught it, but a few drops managed to escape over the walls of the cup and rain down onto his thick black coat and his even darker black pants. He didn't mind this though, mainly since he can't feel it over how thick his clothing is due to this icy weather.

Once the man in the overdressed outfit had finished his ale, he gently put his cup down and headed toward a table in the back of the room that wasn't occupied yet. He slid a stool out from underneath and sat on it. Then, he pulled out a small black bag with a piece of yarn tied on the top. The man began untying the yarn, becoming frustrated with whoever the hell made it so impossible to untie, but eventually got it. He then dumped all the valuables that were inside it: A few handfuls of silver, much shilling, and a few gold.
Though it didn't seem like much, the man smiled in satisfaction.

Possibly he robbed this from someone and thought it was a good deal. Even though he was alone for now, he slid out his curved dagger just a bit. The handle of it was pitch black like his clothing and the blade was the brightest white you would probably ever see, making it a giveaway. Though on this white blade that the man is holding, there's a dark black line that goes down the center. He slid this back in though, realizing the environment isn't too hostile yet.
