It depends where the fort if based.. If its based in high mountainous regions, then use snow terrain.
If its based in desert use the sand terrain.
Or if its based in normal-average land use the grass terrain.

Should place the fort in a cavern :P would look pretty good. Maybe parts of the cieling is gone also from ageing,water from a river breaking through. (A cavern is a large cave/maze of tunnels) |
