--The trending boundaries between successful and failing clans--
I've been observing the clan world for 3 years, and I've noticed some definite trends. Trends that differentiate the clans that succeed and the clans that don't. Of course it's not as as I'll say, but it sure imrpoves your chances.
The first one is tech. Pretty much every single clan right now that is scucessful has their own tech. WIJEngine3.0, Armachan, RAT Sparrow Corp, TRA has their own stuff, etc. Not only do they not buy bases but rather build their own, but most of the time they'll have their own scripts or style as well.
The second trending factor that seperates success from failure is something a little harder to explain, and is focused more on a specific clan group. I'll go over originality and avoidng being cliche multiple times, but this is a more specific one: If you own an 'elite clan,' usually you'll draw specific people. During my time of MGI, the majority of people wanting to be in MGI are from IRFor, REF, those types of clans. I try to avoid them for one reason, they are 'elite clanners,' and as a people-type, they are comfortable with exclusive systems which make them jump on and off between these clans. They won't last long in your clan and will just jump to another. Your clan won't last long either, because usually if you own them you are part of this jumping trend.
The third factor is cliche bases. Yes, making your own bases is good, but sometimes you need someone who's in your clan to be your builder. I myself find myself as a great builder, but I wouldn't dare make all the MGI places. Cliche bases tend to have swords, casual raycasted guns that shoot beams of your color, and just overall look the same. Green ground and brown/gray mountains, it's all the same. Try to be unique, try to be different. VAK bases look completely different from WIJ bases for a reason, and you know those clans for a reason.
The fourth factor is cliche uniforms. I'm a hypocrite of this due to the fact that I cannot 'draw' at all and primarily do direct graphic design like vector art and so forth. However, I'd highly recommend against specific style clothing that get very cliche. 0xide-style military clothing and Splecki-style military clothing. They're both way too common. I noticed those trench/robe type uniforms are coming back too. Avoid those. I know it removes just about all options, but there are designers out there who are creative and have very unique styles. I won't give them away because they usually help specific clans, but you should still look.
The fifth and final factor is leadership. This is the biggest one in Roblox, and automatically if you go on C&G and say 'looking for high ranks for my clan,' your clan is automatically going to fail no questions asked. NO successful clan has used this method that I know of. C&G is a drama dumpster that can be compared to a class room full of 3rd grade girls, not a place to look for clan members/high ranks for your clan. Other than that you're only broadcasting to other clan leaders which is very useless most of the time since they're preoccupied with their own clan.
And that wraps it up. Five factors that I can think of on the top of my head to help you avoid common clan mistakes. If you have additions feel free to post them, and if you have discussion/disagreement feel free to post them as well.

I like your explanations.
I think clans which you need to work for ranks in are quite popular as well.
VAK has a reputation of being hard to get in. It's a reason why it is so popular among us. |

Best bet is to make all your own stuff honestly.
Building bases, drawing uniforms, recruiting, leading, fighting, if you can't do at least two of those, you shouldn't be trying to build a clan. It just will fail right away. |
