Why might Darwin come to think that the finches of the Galapagos Islands might be related to the finches of South America, despite how the different the were in appearance.
Darwin observed that the birds he would eventually discover were finches had different shaped beaks. What might this suggest abou the eating habits of the birds? Why do you think this finding have affected his understanding of life's diversity?
What parts of Lamarck's hypotheses have been proven wrong? What did Lamarck get right?
According to Malthus, what factors limit human population growth? How did Malthus influence Darwin?
Describe how you could use artificial selection to breed pigeons with large beaks.
