A.Grab the trident B.Grab the net C.Charge them D.Plant your feet and raise your sword E.Run
If you don't mind, I'd like to make my choice now.
A is obviously a bad choice, as shown by the death of awesome. B COULD be logical, but being lions, they'd tear the net right open. C, once again, is unbearable stupidity. D would be a good idea... If there was one lion instead of two. E is stupid. A lion can outrun you any day of thew week.
Hm... I suppose B would be the best choice. |

(I'll let your storyline continue xD)
You pick up the net and wait. As they get close enough, you toss the net over them. The two lions are standing close enough that they are both ensnared. The crowd roars.
Knowing you have but a small window, you grab the trident. You run over to the scrambling lions and start stabbing into the net furiously. After several attacks, each lion is dead.
The crowd roars approval, and the gates open. After a victory roar of your own, you stalk out of the arena.
You spend the next day, as usual, training.

After spending half of the day on the obstacle course, you go the dummies. Once you've decimated those, it is time to return to your cell. You lay on your cot and slowly drift asleep.
You are awoken that night by a gladiator whom you've seen on the training field. He unlocks your cell and rouses you.
"We're revolting! Everyone in the colleseum is fighting back. Join us!"
You've been waiting for this. But is it worth it? What if a revolt fails? You are faced with a critical decision.
A.Join them B.Deny the revolution. |

Hm...
If I join them, I risk being killed by the stronger gladiators... If I deny, I risk being attacked by someone of the same strength. But mixed with the other revolters, I won't stand a chance if they decide to come after me later.
I think I'll just deny and continue on my path to logic-based victory. |

You deny, and the other gladiator huffs. You return to your cot and sleep again.
That night the guards were caught off guard. At first, the gladiators slaughtered them and took control of the arena. It wasn't long, however, before real Roman soldiers arrived. Most of the revolter were slaughtered in the following fight. The rest are being severely punished, though not killed, because the Romans still need their entertainment. A little over a hundred gladiators remain. The ones that did not revolt were rewarded with a tour of the city to show off to their fans. After a long day of glory and some other activities that need not be mentioned, you return to the colleseum happy.
~DAY TWO OF THE TOURNAMENT~ You step into the arena, proud and glorious. You are armed with a steel longsword and fully repaired armor. You survey the arena.
There are two wide bridges spanning over the length of the arena. Other then that there is nothing but murky water containing some unknown danger. Each bridge is a decent distance from the other. You are confident that you could jump from one to the other, howev.er Your opponent stands on the other side of the same bridge as you, smiling widely.
He is famous throughout all of Rome. Second only to the Champion. His weapons of choice are two steel shortswords. You know that he is a much better swordsman then you. He spends all of his time with the dummies. You need a plan.
A.Jump over to the other bridge. B.Charge him C. Wait for him to make a move D.Taunt him from here. |

A wouldn't work out well. I think we all know why... B is dumb. HE SPENDS HIS LIFE WITH THE DUMMIES! DON'T CHARGE HIM! C could be logical... I guess I could use his lack of agility and speed to my advantage. D would make him mad. We don't want a bull fight, now do we? |

You stand and stare across the bridge at him. Obviously, you are letting him act first. After a few seconds he is charging across the bridge at you. Soon he is at you, and the two of you are clashed.
You block his attacks and push back. If you get the change to swing, it is quickly blocked. One of his swords puts a gash on the chest of your armor. Finally he makes a small mistake, giving you a small window of advantage.
The bridges are covered in sand, just like the regular floor of the arena. His foot slips on the sand, and he stumbles very slightly. His chest, side, and legs appear to be open. However, you have just enough time to go for one.

Not A... His chest is too heavily defended... B is a good choice, as if your side falls, the rest of you goes with it. C... The legs are a common weak spot, but it's too obvious... He would block it in a heartbeat...
B is the logical choice. Oh, Maybe a nice, aggressive shove too. :) |

You quickly slash at his side. He puts his sword down to block it, but as he is still mid stumble. Your attack does not contact him, but his sword flies out of his hand and into the water below. He is mad, and obviously weakened, but he is still good with one sword.
The two of you continue fighting. However, you are pushing him backwards across the bridge. He appears desperate now, and less and less of his attacks are life threatening. Finally he needs an escape so that he can recover. He kicks you in the stomach, and as you are stumbling backwards he jumps over to the other bridge.
He makes it, barely, and turns to laugh at you. Obviously, he believes he's escaped you for now. Then you spot it.
The other bridge, you've now realized, was a trap. Set up to look like a safe haven from your opponent, it is actually the quickest way to find death in this arena. You realize this when you spot a smallcrack in the bricks on the bottom of the bridge. Almost immediatly after your opponent has gotten his whole weight on the bridge, it is sent crumbling into the water. He stays afloat at first but is soon pulled under by..something. Blood quickly rises to the surface.
A.Throw your hands up and roar in victory! B.Leave silently.
(This isn't a life or death choice. It will have to do with your standing in Rome, which will come in to play later. These types of decisions will be thrown in here and there for the next few fights.) |

A: Well, it wasn't really victory. The idiot was dumb enough to jump into a trap. B: Clearly more logical. It's not like the audience is going to riot because I didn't celebrate ONE victory. |

The audience roars. You nod in respect for the second greatest swordsman known to the colleseum. Then, you leave.
At training the next day, you are met with a suprise. The Emperor of Rome has come to watch the training. You aren't sure why, but you know you shouldn't embarress yourself.

| I recommend B or E as combat and swords is what your gladiator specializes in and you don't want to make yourself look like a fool in front of the emperor. I however am not allowed to make a decision though as it is not my character. |

As usual, you impressively dismantle the training dummies. You occasionally glance over at the emperor, who is whispering to one of his advisors and nodding towards you. You walk off the training grounds and head to your cell.
Half an hour later, the emperor arrives. Two guards stand outside the cell and he comes in to talk to you.
"I've been watching you. Lately, I've decided you'll be perfect for a plan of mine." He whistles, and a few guards bring in a Roman centurion's armor, sword, and shield. "You see charismatic enough. And you are definatly skilled. I would like you to be my character. You'll wear this armor in every match and fight with this sword. Word will be passed around that you are 'Achshiyarshu ', or 'Great Warrior'. You'll be loved around Rome, considering you survive. Are you up for it?"
Hm. If you do this, you'll be given glory. Everyone will know of you and you'll go down in the history books. Honestly, the only downside you can think of would be is that your face would never be seen-your character would go down in history, not you. Still, it would be you of course. Hmm...
