You stand behind one of the pits and stare across at him. You can't help but glance down, and you see that the bottom of the pit is simply spikes. What a deadly twist.
Your opponent clutches his longsword in his hand as he stands on the other side of the pit. "You will die today...Khaidyn, is it? Cute nickname they've given you. Won't matter soon, though." He says. You watch as he stabs his longsword into the stand and pulls two daggers out of a pouch on his waist. You can tell the pouch is not empty. You must act fast!
A.Throw your sword at his head! B.Sprint around the pit and try to get to him first. C.Jump from your side of the pit to the side to your right, so you don't waste time running around the corner. |

You turn and run around the corner of the pit and sprint at him, yelling. You aren't fast of course, but that shouldn't matter, right?
Wrong.
He throws the knife, narrowly missing your eye and lodging into your helmet. You know the next won't be so lucky. You rip off your now useless helmet and chunk it at him. It hits him in the forehead, knocking his head back. His knife goes ride right as he teeters slowly forward..then falls back into the sand. You over him now and you quickly stab into the sand at his head. He's rolled out of the way and picked up his longsword. He swings it at your head, and you duck.
The sword swing's momentum goes toward the pit, nearly causing him to fall in. He lets go of the sword and clutches to the side of the pit, glancing down at the spikes in fear. His skin goes pale and cold.
A. Kill him. B.Spare him. |

You bend over and grasp his wrist to pull him up. He nods, and smirks at you. He winks as he tossed you over his head, and into the pit.
GAME OVER. |

You crawl out of the pit, stand, and throw your hands up in victory. The crowd roars in approval at your deception. Had he really expected you to just let him embarress you like that? You feel proud-that was quite clever of you. As you glance down at his impaled body one last time a surge of happiness rushes through you. Not only are you now a gladiator, but you also will take his place in the tournament. That's what he gets.
With a confident smirk, you walk out of the arena.
THE TOURNAMENT BEGINS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Armored in a new steel body plate and steel leggings, equipped with a steel longsword you confidently march into the arena. The crowd roars approval at you. Quickly you survey the field-nothing but the usual sand. On the other end of the arena stands a monster of a man holding a trident and a net.
What is your strategy? A.Offensive B.Defensive C.A mix of both |

| C) I say this because if he charges you and you can see how bulky he is you can step out of the way and he will fall off balanced because of his weight it will be an easy win and will be less troubling than a full out fight |

| (wow late post for me but C would work best for this btw are we the person who shoved us in the pit now or did we crawl out of the pit and trip him in because if the spikes were scattered we could've dodged the spikes being small and slightley fast we also could've cust the spikes around us with outr weapons the chainmail might've blocked the spikes there are many ways we coud've survived) |

| C, obviously. You might want to mix some agility in there too. There's a large chance that he'll spring at you with the net first. |

You smile in anticipation of this fight. You decide not to waste your time, and to end this quickly.
You charge the lightly armored gladiator, who stands and awaits you to come within throw's length. When you get close enough, he throws the net. Unlike your last opponent, whom you sent plummeting onto the spikes, you have spent a little time on the obstacle course. You are running fast enough to run past the net, and you are close enough to swing your sword at the gladiator's head. He ducks under it, and sends the trident at an upward angle toward your stomach.
A.Deflect it. B.Jump out of the way C.Jump backwards D.Take your defeat |

| B. As in, jump to the side. As in, quick. As in, NOW. Given his description, we're too short to deflect the trident. C is silly, as at the arc of the uppercut, he'll bring it down on our heads. And as for YOU, Mr. Choice D, WHY ARE YOU EVEN THERE?! |

You dive left, out of the way. The trident rips through the side of your armor, but you are otherwise fine. Your armor is still in enough of one piece to be useful, as well.
As the gladiator recovers from his missed attack, you kick his wrist. The force of your kick sends the trident falling to the sand. The gladiator quickly picks it up, and jumps back. His hand is already turning an odd color due to your kick, but he otherwise seems fine. You step forward and swing your sword at his waist. He blocks the attack with the side of his weapon and sends your own away from his body. With it still firmly in your grasp, you raise it and bring it down towards his head.
He raises his own trident and blocks your attack. The crowd lets out a roar of glee at this spectacular show of strength. This, of course, is what they pay for.
You seem to be at a standoff. You don't back away, but he holds his position. If you let up for a second, he'll push your sword back and force you to stumble backwards so as not to fall. Obviously, that would be a problem. You need to do something. As you panic to find a way out, you notice his bruised hand quivering...
A.Slide your sword down along the trident, slicing his already weak hand. B.Slide your sword upwards along the trident, slicing his strong hand. C.Spit in his eye. |

A is the obvious choice, because his weak hand is his weapon hand, clearly. If you injure that, he'll have a hard time attacking you with only one good hand on the trident.
B would be stupid, because it's the hand nearest to the tip of the trident. He could force it forward and BOOM! GAME OVER FOR US.
And C, well... That would be unbearable stupidity... |

(You think about this a whole lot more then Roman did xD)
You slide your hand down the trident, slicing his weak hand. He had no idea what had happened until he looks down and sees four of his bruised fingers laying in the sand. The crowd roars approval, but he isn't finished. He picks up the trident with his good hand and throws it at your head. You duck, and it sticks into the sand behind you.
He falls to his knees in the sand and awaits the end. You, being a merciless gladiator, slice off his head. His body falls limp to the ground. The crowd roars, but the gates do not open.
Instead, two pits open up in the sand in the middle of the arena. You stare at them, puzzled, until a lion rises out of each of them. (Elevators in the colleseum. They were there. Google it, my friends.) The lions roar, and charge you.
A.Grab the trident B.Grab the net C.Charge them D.Plant your feet and raise your sword E.Run |

You grab the trident and throw it at the lion on the left. Your throw is off, way off, you having never held a trident in your life. If you had, wouldn't that be your weapon of choice now? Perhaps you should've thought about that.
The lions are on you now. The pain worse then having each and every limb chopped off is the pain of having to watch people watch it happen, and laugh.
Game Over...again. |
