Julien,
the new Intel ivy bridge has onboard graphics as good as a 6750, also we all know the radeon hd upcoming 8000 series will knock out the new gtx 690. |

| Also go for the new ivy bridge CPUs. They all beat the highest amd CPU in performance and gaming. |

CPU: Intel Ivy Bridge i5-3570K --> Nice pick. Uncle ordered one today. Graphics: ASUS Radeon HD 7950 --> Go for Sapphire or HIS Case: Cooler Master Storm Trooper --> For that price, get a Corsair 600T Power supply: Ultra X4 750 Watt Fully Modular --> 750W is too much. SeaSonic S12ii is cheaper, and 620W is enough Hard drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 7200RPM --> If you have a hard drive that's not too old already, re-use it. RAM: Mushkin 8GB (2 x 4GB) --> G.Skill Ripjaws (2x4GB) Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G45 --> ASUS is slightly better, but whatev +some other items (fans, dvd drive, ect) |

| Seriously, if you can, switch to the G.Skill RAM. And the PSU is putting a few extra dollars there. |

the mushkin ones went off sale. and i found the perfect combo for a Z77 mobo for 100$, and G.SKILL 8 (2x4gb) for $30. i can afford a monitor now!
also asus has an amazing cooling solution. i'll be overclocking and i need that. |

| Okay, if you're serious about CFing the GPUs. Overall, $1500 seems a bit much (my rig was $620, and has a 6870, 2500k, among other things), but I suppose future-proofing it can make up for the extra money. |

| well if the new Intel CPU's didn't come out so soon I would save $100 and would have gone with AMD (yeah it's a bad CPU but cheap). also i'm stuck on the 7950, my case, and CPU. i might change some other items for rebates and whatnot. |
