DETAILED STORY :
I'm in a creek, that is about 15 feet deep. The water is shallow, so i'm walking through it. watching for snakes as I take each step, I look up and see a lone coyote 45 yards away. I had my Crossbow on my back and carrying a fishing pole in one hand. I was just going to slowly walk about, but then I turn around and see another coyote about 25 yards away standing on the steep creek bank. And, another standing across from him. I was trapped. I couldn't out run them. I pulled out my crossbow and pulled back the 150 pound pressure with all my might. The coyote didn't know what he had in store. I loaded in an arrow/dart in to the shooting slot. I aimed for the coyote on the bank . . . SWOOSH the arrow shot out and the Coyote stampeded off in wimpers and cries. All three of the coyotes stampede toward an open field slightly North East of the creek. I WAS SAFE. |
