http://www.roblox.com/Virtual-Runner-Read-Desc-place?id=43668765 Stolen game, stolen ad, stolen credit. Is he asking for his account to be permanently frozen? |

| He gives MicroUser credit, but he makes sure that it's hidden from the description unless you click "See More." Honestly, giving credit to MicroUser should be the first thing he does in his description, as he makes people incorrectly assume that he developed the game, or at least edit what MicroUser made, while in reality, he did absolutely nothing but upload MicroUser's exact game so that he could get publicity off of it. |

I think that roblox should at least make a basic effort to track everything inserted and then put a section below description saying
"This place uses material created by the following users: MicroUser blah blah"
Even if it'd be easy to get around, at least it'd catch out idiots like this. |

| Nothing he did is wrong according to the rules, however i would say it's morally wrong. |

That however is a moral question, not one to do with the rules of the site. If you uncopylock something then you are giving a completely nonrestrictive licence to people to do whatever they want with it. |

"Just for the record, pokelover. MicroUser's code is direct copy off of a JavaScript source I found, a while ago. So following your logic, MicroUser should give credit to that guy, it should be the first thing in his description, right?"
Yes, it should be. Though Lua code can't be a direct copy of JavaScript, so your point is somewhat invalid. Also, seeing as how MicroUser used a pretty widely known method for his rendering, it could be merely coincidence that the code was similar to the JavaScript you saw, or he could have used the JavaScript as a basis for his code but didn't exactly copy it. There's not much of an argument you can make for "oh em gee he copied my stuff and it looks almost the same" when talking about the same method being implemented in different languages - there's a chance that it was complete coincidence. As a point in case, I was doing the reddit Daily Programmer challenge a while back, and my C# code had all the same variable names and the same process as a Python solution, but since it was a fairly simple and widely implemented algorithm, it didn't surprise me that my code came out similarly. Later in the day, a C++ solution was also posted, and it also looked incredibly similar to my solution and the Python solution.
tl;dr: I would completely agree with you if Roblox scripting was in JavaScript and all he did was take the JavaScript code, but to be completely fair, there's a chance the it was complete coincidence that they were similar, or he just used that code to help. |

Meh, that is true. In this type of situation I'm more likely to argue morals over rules, though. If MicroUser has any complaint about it, that's up to him, but personally I believe more credit is due to him than given :V |

| It says that he made the game in the ad. That isn't against the rules? |

Well, if he stole the ad then _he_ didn't say he made it, did he...?
But seriously, I don't know on that. I don't think it really says anywhere in the rules that you're not allowed to mislead people, although if you took anything of that nature far enough you'd probably get banned for it. |

From the game's description:
"I'd like to thank MicroUser for his VirtualRunner. So stop sending me messages to give him credit and if i get one from you i will ban you."
We could report him for impersonating an admin. Just saying... |

So you're advocating making false reports now? |

| As long as he doesn't use an exploit to steal the place. He won't get banned, and from what I hear in this thread, the original was uncopylocked so he's technically not breaking any rules. |

| How is that false reporting? Only admins can ban people from Roblox. |

Um, moderators can ban them too, which is kinda what they're hired for? |
