Lore roleplay for my series of games, also a lore thread, and a place for me to brainstorm; Introduce your character like you would yourself, as if you were in the story itself; an example would be introducing yourself into the story as a guard checking to make sure Aramus is keeping his activities as a wizard safe for the town. Lore is as follows: Long ago, when the World was young, there were no sentient races... Arcus, the semi-sentient realm of magic, slowly formed the necessary components for a thinking mind, and thus dragons were born... Primal at first, barbaric, but sentient and constantly learning and improving... Once again, Arcus created, for purposes unknown, the Ancients... Tall, quick, and strong, they were more than equals to the dragons... But this became their downfall. As Arcus formed the other four races, known as the Elves, Dwarves, Humans, and Orcs, respectively, to one another, the Ancients sought to bind it to their will. They took a human, one they found inferior in every way to their own race, and succeeded in binding Arcus into his being... For many years, personal and elemental magic reigned in absence of the limitless power of Arcus. But the human, by name of Akan, was loyal to the entity bound to him... As the Ancients built their mighty cities and raised certain members of their own to godhood, Akan sought a way to release Arcus from himself, even at the cost of his life. Although several times he came close, the Ancients thwarted him until he found the simplest solution; he simply went to find a Shaman, masters of elemental magics and bindings, and stole his totem, holding it as leverage to force the Shaman to undo the binding on him. Although the Ancients who had ascended to godhood attempted to stop this, it was too late... Akan freed Arcus and gained access to its power... All of it. Akan went on a mighty rampage, destroying the fertile land the Ancients inhabited and shattering much of the rest of the world; in some places, lava surged from the core of the World to fill the gaps; in others, the great ocean simply filled the areas broken by his wrath... Of the Ancients, none remain; of dragons, a very few stand bound to various loyal Acolytes of Arcus of the Younger Races. And so this story begins, with one such... His name just happens to be Aramus, and he practices rather poor wizardry; his dragon disguised as a lizard, noone suspects the truth...
Aramus:*Is stirring a large cauldron when a loud banging is heard on his door* *Glances at the small dragon lounging on his rug, already reverting to lizard form* About to yell, but remembering his apparent age, he says with the trembling voice of a runaway apprentice "He-Hello? Who is it?" while readying combat magics of a strength much greater than one would expect from such.

What do you expect? It is a summary, of a half an hour worth of storytelling, and written in five minutes. Hurr... I just posted as you people suck at this too.

I am, but if you had the grey matter to comprehend, I condensed a story into roleplay lore format.

Note that you will get what is relevant to the roleplay, nothing more. I hope to write a book some time soon.

Lore is as follows:
Long ago, when the World was young, there were no sentient races... Arcus, the semi-sentient realm of magic, slowly formed the necessary components for a thinking mind, and thus dragons were born... Primal at first, barbaric, but sentient and constantly learning and improving... Once again, Arcus created, for purposes unknown, the Ancients... Tall, quick, and strong, they were more than equals to the dragons.
But the human, by name of Akan, was loyal to the entity bound within him.
All of it. Akan went on a mighty rampage, destroying the fertile land the Ancients inhabited and shattering much of the rest of the world; in some places, lava surged from the core of the World to fill the gaps; in others, the great ocean simply filled the areas broken by his wrath.
Of the Ancients, none remain; of dragons, a very few stand bound to various loyal Acolytes of Arcus of the Younger Races. These Acolytes, called Sigil Mages, practice the same brand of magic as Akan, binding themselves to Arcus and channeling its power through Sigils, sometimes called Thoughts of Arcus.
This story begins with one such, a Sigil Mage by the name of Aramus, having recently moved in to a small oasis town in the remnants of Jevuar. He and his dragon, Cethil, have sensed a potential Sigil Mage in the area and gone to investigate under the cover of a runaway apprentice and his reptilian familiar.

(Aramus is oblivious until his door is knocked on. It is a desert Oasis, though, so rain is a rare thing)

Zithixar (zith-ih-ZHAR) stood knocking on the door outside of the cave. Zithixar was not used to the desert heat, and was not coping well. He sensed a build up of power, but was in no real state to pay any attention to it.
