The following app has been approved. The status has changed to Ready for Sale.

If your contracts are not in effect at this time, your app status will be Pending Contract. You may track the progress of your contracts in the Contracts, Tax, and Banking module in iTunes Connect.

Note that it may take up to 24 hours before your app is live on the App Store. This delay is dependent upon any app availability issues.

That takes too much work.
And Java... meh, Java... I actually like Obj-C more now.

But I'll try to port it in the future, maybe, perhaps.

"I actually like Obj-C more now."

Oh god how can you call yourself a programmer? I've tried to write code in Objective-C before. I nearly shot my computer, and I was tempted to find whoever invented the language and violently defenestrate him.

Violent reactions are common when trying to learn a language like Obj-C, since it's so different.

But if you actually do understand it it does make sense, yet I still totally prefer not using it whenever possible.

Probably a lot more than you would make on the Android market.

Oh god, not this argument again. I'll settle it at this: the Google Play store is just as profitable as the iTunes store.

I just got into this business, so now there have been around 30 sales. $0.70 (which is what I make in the end) * 30 = $21 in less than a week. Not that bad for an unknown app.

I would argue otherwise, but I did so recently and the evidence just isn't strong enough to convince anyone, form either side.

Since you can't give the app name, can you at least tell what the app is supposed to do or what your developer name is or something? My parents have an iPad and my sister has an iPod Touch, so if it's of any use to them I could get another sale or two for you. I personally won't be buying it though :P

You see, there's this dude with whom I cooperate and we've agreed not to distribute it in online forums for a week or two, for some complicated reasons. I will try to make a post about it when I can.

Did you have to buy a mac just to make the apps?

I've always wanted to make a app but I've not because of the cost of macs. If you made a decent app how hard would it be to get the cost back?

I see. I'm going to lurk the iTunes store now just to see if I can find it even though I have no clue what it is :|

@Bubby4j, this wasn't an issue for me because I first got a Mac for school and then I got the opportunity to make apps (someone gave me the license for two years). It's practically impossible to actually make and sell an app without a Mac, but if you make a good enough app you'll probably be able to pay for the Mac within a few years... remember there's also the annual payment so it is actually quite costly.

"Google makes more money off ios than android, true story."

Yeah, yeah, two week old story, who cares? There's good reason for that: Google licenses out access to APIs like Maps for use on iOS, while on Android it doesn't have to license things out to itself, and since Android itself is free, it doesn't earn any royalties from device manufacturers. The only income it makes from Android is the money it takes from app sales (Google does take some money from app sales, though it is less than iOS I believe) and the money it earns from ads (through the AdMob network. Even though that pays the app developer that made the app the ads are used in, Google still makes a small portion of the profit from that). Since both of its sources of income on Android are much smaller than licensing fees, it comes simply that it doesn't earn as much from Android as it does from iOS.

However, that is completely irrelevant to anything in this thread, so why bring it up?
