| A ton. You can only somewhat mimic those games on roblox, and maybe make a simple map or two realistically. |

| Assuming you can isolate the player and have a basic engine for running things on hard coded cues, the next thing you need is a management system for editing events & triggers as well as the map. It's surprisingly simple and dastardly complex to actually pull off. |

| A ton thousands and thousands of codes that's why the credits are long at the end. They pretty much have a team for every part of the game they make. |

| Actually campaigns would be simple to script since theres just a single player and it goes pretty linear. It just needs to wait until you do something and then go to the next step. And meanwhile run the 500 zombies shooting at you. |

| It's a lot easier because the their IDE's are more advanced. Also for games like CoD and BF they already have the structure of their game created. |

The story and characters actually isn't that hard to think up, it's implementing them that's the challenge...... you'd have to hardcore their every action, and be extremely talented with first person shooters, guns, cframing and pretty much everything else like GUIs.
Final opinion: Don't try it unless you get a team together. At least, then, you could save the place to Dropbox and they could work on it while you're away. Of course, that requires all of you to be talented and have a clear idea of the end product.
Which is hard to do.

Coding it in ROBLOX is easy.
Yes, coding it is easy.
I said nothing about content, though. Coding it is easy, but making the content, graphics, sounds and appearance is harder, but that's not coding anyway.
And I said nothing about it being laggy or not. It will be so laggy that players won't even be able to join the server.
But you didn't ask us if it was going to be laggy or if making the content and all the rest would be hard, you just asked us if coding it would be hard. And no, it wouldn't.
No organization, no optimization, nothing. Just coding it. Yeah, of course that it'd be easy.
However, it'd be unplayable.
But, again, you didn't ask us if it would be playable, you just asked us how hard it would be to code it.. |

Time solves most of the issues that you're bringing up. With enough time you would be able to construct a faithful, albeit much lower quality clone for the most part.
However, there is one part that you may not be able to make no matter how much time you put into the stuff: AI for units. I don't think you'd be able to get the AI working period, let alone acceptably well. AI in a non-trivial 3D environment where you have to fire long range weapons is quite difficult to even implement from a reference, let alone design yourself. |
