Soup fellow ROBLOXians, RTers, whatever. Myself (Swami8333) and another user, Samacado, are going to be making a Chaos Canyon 2012. This is going to obviously be well built and scripted.
At the current moment, Telamon has made a Crossroads 2012 and a Rocket Arena 2012- but what about the other classic levels? There is no known proof that these classics are gaining any upgrades or remakes by administration so we're taking it into our own hands. __ The goal:
To make a Chaos Canyon 2012 that users can 100% enjoy- this means minimum lag, good game play, and classic elements such as easter eggs, brick battle weapons, etc. Things that people know are familiar and fun. __ Where and when will it be made?
On this account. The time for completion is currently.. uhh.. there is no date for completion at the moment. __ What is the point of this thread?
To gain information on what you guys think about a Chaos Canyon 2012. We're looking for ideas, and possibly I guess.. 'help' or information on what you think would make a good Chaos Canyon 2012. At the moment we have several ideas, of those ideas, being this:
- Fall damage - A large canyon with a river, and a dam. - The farm from Chaos Canyon, sized up x10 - The temple from Chaos Canyon, sized up 10x - The black rock/brown rock section 'construction site' thing, sized up 10x - The industrial building thing in the right top corner of Chaos Canyon, 10x. - Brick Battle weapons, with new effects and tweaks. - Power ups lain about the map. - Easter eggs - Classic elements, such as billboards, or previous easter eggs found in Chaos Canyon (cake is a lie, etc) - DESTROYABLE STUFF: that's a large factor in what made Chaos Canyon fun. __ What can you do to help?
Post your ideas below. And by below.. I mean.. JUST POST.

We're making a river along side a destroyable dam, that will be holding back a flow of waterblocks, that will obviously kill players unlucky enough to be caught by the flow of water. |

Anyway, I like your idea of the river that will kill players. Perhaps make it so it's not super easy to break the dam. |

What should the map dimensions be guys? Right now I have 1500x1500 playing field to build with but I feel like it should be either:
a. 1000x1000 b. 800x800 c. 1150x1200 d. 650x650
what do you think guys?

Yup. 10 studs = 5 damage. Full fall from top of canyon to bottom = instant kill. You could jump though from the top and rocket boot at the last second, saving yourself. |

Don't do any terrain, please.
Terrain games usually involve a base with seemingly endless terrain until the next base. Walking is slow, and it's not good for what you are going to make.
It's only good for Adventure and Exploration games, unless you count "Fall Down the Mountain" games... |

| I was working on some higher quality brickbattle weapons. You can check em out at my place called "Weapon Tests". Make sure you zoom in all the way to use the weapons. I never got around to moving the lockfirstperson line into a local script. |
