I just saw it with a couple of friends of mine, and they thought it was great, as well did I. But what is your opinion about it?
I loved it, The special effects were terrific, and the acting was awesome.
The movie does have some loose ends though, the movie had a little bit too much gore, I was sort of offended by it, same as the people being murdered were the kids, and it was offensive for me.
But the rest of the movie was great, the end was awesome, and the beginning and middle were as well. Post your comments below on what you thought of the movie.
If you haven't seen it, or you want to, you'd better hurry up, the movie wont be in theaters for much longer, so if you want to see it, it is most likely playing at your nearest Cinema. |

"Special effects were terrific" There were hardly any special effects "Had a little too much gore" Have you read the book? Anyway, it's not gory in comparison to that.

| They probably de-gored it as much as they could without ruining the point of the violence. Anyway, I thought it was good, probably the most accurate book-turned-movie I've ever seen. |

| The movie had barely any gore at all. It didn't show the killing, just the death. the movie was just dynamic Camera angles. I liked it. (not as much as the books) |

| Did you realize that Hunger Games has a Complex Story line based off of Roman History and intense emotions? Well it is. Now shut up, and read it. |

They spent too little time in the districts, which I know is how the book starts too. My friend sat beside me and was quite angered at some of the scenes being cut out or simply butchered itself. I for one did not like it, not terrible but still. The shaky cam was horrible, I know it was to keep a PG rating but it was even when she was running. The sets don’t looks exceptionally nice, and I never really cared enough about the characters in the hungers games. Why did I care about Peeta? What did he do?
I only actually liked Rue, it would have been nice to see the book revolve around her rather than Katniss. The romance was so skipped over and seemed rather rushed. Gale seems like a better partner than Peeta, but no, Katniss likes him because for half the games he wasn’t with her and told her that he randomly had a crush on her! The flash back with Peeta? Why did it take three scenes to do? I mean jesus christ that was annoying.
i think it was meh, not “award” winning material |

I haven't seen the movie, but I'm not going to until I read the book... Which might be a while since I don't even own it... But when they say stuff like "Team Katniss" or "Team Peeta" it starts to look like Twilight a little with all the teams.. |

| Mr. Giraffe. In the second book, Peeta puts his own life to risk to keep alive Katniss. He is probally the second most important character in the books. You have seen the movie but have not read the books. When you do read, you will know what I am saying. |

I don’t think you understand my complaint, I don’t care about the second book and we’re not talking about the book are we? My point is that in a movie/book you have to make people care about the character in the beginning for them to be a good character. My favourite quite is; “If you tell me to keep my hand on the stove, yes , it will eventually stop hurting but that doesn’t make it good.” If I have to wait for a main character to do something good than why do I care if he dies before?
I don’t
Do I care about he tossed purposefully burned bread(which was not mentioned in the movie) to Katniss? Do I care because he “told her to run” while in a group with the people trying to kill her? Do I acre because he has an unexplained stupid crush?
No, I don’t care
What about Gale? Why is he even in this movie/book? Drama? Do I care about him? No |
