| Probably cuz it obscures your sight, making you see less objects, thus lowering the wireless transfer of data. |

Monork, I did discuss. I asked if fog reduced lag. fenrir24, that's not technically true.

Technicaly, yes it is.
More functions, parts, scripts, etc means more to process, which means more lag. |

@Fenrir24, It itself may cause more process. But does it reduce the process of other objects? That's the main question here.
If it reduces the amount of objects you see, doesn't that effect the local memory of the game?

| The fog increases lag because fog in roblox does not determine whether distant bricks are rendered. It only changes the shading on bricks based on distance. |

Yes, that could also be true. More parts visible = More lag, while less parts visible = less
So it may decrease lag, why not go test? |
