Not necessarily, they could have Windows installed elsewhere. But yes, I'd advise against it unless you're skilled in that department. |

It's called WINE/CrossOver, and it lets you run Windows stuff in Linux. |

Well they're all Ubuntu, so if you fail at installing one the rest will be the same.
I suggest trying Bodhi, Pear OS, or Fedora. |

| in 6th grade, for some reason our Principle decided to switch all our computers to ubuntu. they sucked. I would rather use the windows 2000 they were running on |

Unless you go to a private school that's up to your county's board of education (assuming that you live in the US.).
Ubuntu, while still one of my least favorite Linux distros, has made a lot of progress recently.
What grade are you in now? |
