| When watching videos of people playing Roblox, I always see shadows from bricks and characters. Upon closer examination, I realized I never saw these shadows in any game I played. I have a fairly good laptop with 32 GB of RAM, so I would think I should be able to see them. Is there a way to, so to speak, "Turn On Shadows" so that I can see them when I play? |

| It probably has to do with the game lighting |

| Well even with 32GB of RAM that is not the same since your GPU could have only 512MB of RAM or something. The GPU has its own RAM. It could be that you graphics settings are low. |

| I checked and even though the RAM is 32GB, the graphics processor memory, or something like that, is 1700 MB, which was really good for a modest laptop last time I checked. I also turned all settings to performance instead of power-saving, and it is still too unusual for this to happen in 5 games that have good lighting. ANything else I could try? |

Yes there is a way to turn on shadows.
1) Open Roblox Studio 2) Tools > Settings 3) Press OK to the box that popped up. 4) Open the rendering tab 5) Set the Shadow Setting to what you want.
Experiment with the different shadow options if you would like |

| Well, there IS a way to turn on or off shadows, along with Regions and many other things, but I forgot what the in-game keystroke is to access the menu for it. |

^ And there's what he just said above me. It's probably the same menu, but there is, or at least used, to be a way to open it in Play mode as well. |

| Sorry, I hadn't checked this in a while. HAd been kinda inactive... but anyways, thanks so much! I tried this and my shadows appeared in the first game I play! Now I am just testing out different settings to improve speed. Thanks again! |
