Hello, I am here today to propose an idea of making money off of your roblox game. It will be based off of Youtube's partnership program
As you make a place, and get a lot of traffic, roblox will start to notice you. Roblox would then show these charts to the people who are interested in advertising with roblox. Then, in game, or when you leave would be an ad, which parts of the revenue goes to the roblox user. A new "Partnered" user would now continue to make places, (they would have the ability to make unlimited places) and make more ad revenue.
I think this would encourage roblox users to make more original and well-thought-out places. And maybe encourage some to have making places on roblox as a future job one day.
tl;dr: Make a place, get money from ads.
ATTN: Please keep this thread on the front page. I want the administrators to see this.
* I would have done this on twitter, but their character limit for posts is unbearably small! * |

| Before I suggest any ideas, how much do you think the creator of the place should get? |

I would say 10-20% of the revenue. Considering you get 1 penny per ad, and 100,000 people visit your place in 1 month, that's 200 dollars a month if you're going by 20%.
Say you get 400,000 people to view your place in a month; that's 800 dollars a month. |

| ItsTheLittleThings, didn't John post his Age-Up idea here? It's a roblox related topic that could change the way people play roblox. |

| I'm assuming the ad would pop up once you spawned, and you would be given the option to close it, like it was a sort of pop up ad? Because thats the only guaranteed way people will see it. |

| Telamon said that on twitter he wants to try it but people would just go on from an alt and get money so it is risky. |

| Most likely. The ad would maybe show up at the top, or on the side for about 30-60 seconds. Or maybe the user would have to implement an ad given to them on a brick when the user comes into the game. |

@Hamsters,
If Robloxians are given the choice to exit out of a ad, I think no one will even read or watch the ads. |

| Using IP addresses would fix that, you could say only 1 view per IP address per day would give you money, maybe? |

RobloxPodcast, Doing that would take a very long time, and only produce a few pennies.
Also, keep in mind, you have to first be partnered with roblox! Only trusted and massive content creators will be getting a partnership. |

| Then, people would just change their IP address. |

| @roomy Well a large ad on screen is very annoying, so users being given the option to exit or skip the ad like on youtube would keep most people happy, I think. |

| Not every user will have the ability to earn money. You must first prove to roblox, and the advertiser, that you will produce views for that ad! |

This idea was actually discussed on IronNoob and it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

| @Cosby, how big are you thinking the ad should be? I think it should be at the top and consume only 1/4 of the screen. |

I forgot to mention in my last post. Roblox will most likely message you, and upgrading you to a partner to earn ad money and produce places.
A user can't just make an alt account and visit there place. They would be making (if going by 20% of ad revenue *1 penny per view*) .2 pennies each time the user made an account.
Also, if you are a major content creator, an alt view would mean nothing compared to your massive amount of views. |

1/4 of a screen is a lot of space for an ad. It could be a small banner at the top, or a larger one that you can exit out of. And maybe if you exit out of it, a small banner pops up at the top? I'm getting way to into the details here x) |

| I think you should be able to close the ad at the top after around 30 seconds. |
