I'm well aware that "Undo the update" is on the What Not to Suggest list, but this is different. I totally understand the benefits of having a limit on the characters in the title; it's a valiant effort in preventing page stretches. But doesn't 60 characters seem a little TOO short? What I'm suggesting is something a little higher, like 90 or 100.

I always thought 100 was reasonable.
Here's the comparison:
60 characters:
"Jdid jdbe uual pmai usba uendpens poin ushx hxjs psjsuceh bcrj havu ochr."
100 characters:
"Jdid jdbe uual pmai usba uendpens poin ushx hxjs psjsuceh bcrj havu ochr jdjejeksodjs jeksoduejxek ibsk lbfj ivey."
There's a nice difference there. |

How many characters are needed for a page stretch?
Anything reasonable is anything below that number for the character limit. |

| No support. I am fed up of page stretching. 60 characters is long enough. |

| Titles are not meant to be really long, they are meant to simply give you an idea of what the thread is about, not explain the whole thing. |

But for people as expierianced as I, 60 characters Isn't enough to grab one's attention. I would prefer 100.

60 characters is NOT enough. I can't even put a coherent sentence in the title.

| How is 60 characters not enough? It helps so people just don't put their whole idea in the title and under it say: "Read title." which got very annoying. |

It's not that annoying. We do it all the time in OT.
