How do you get the quality of the uploaded images to be any good?
I recently uploaded another cover page, and it came out all fuzzy. The same quality as the first one uploaded, same size, bit layer, format, everything but the actual picture. And it looks bad.
The first one is 1/2 of the size as uploaded, the other ones are 1/7th of the size.
I thought I might have messed up, so I reuploaded. Same story.
How do you get it so it looks good? I'm reuploading another smaller version at exactly the same size as the viewable screen.
If that doesn't work, I have no idea what to do.
And by the way, if this doesn't work, I'll be really mad, because that means I've wasted 60 robux on uploading the same, fuzzy image.
And there's no way to reupload or update without repaying. |

Try making it the shape that roblox provides for their decals.
Use the resolution it provides also. If you do that then you'll have the best quality possible. |

| Use a decent image resizing application (DO NOT USE ANY KIND OF ANTIALIAS ON THIS) to resize to 256x256. Upload, resize to your specified dimensions. Roblox's resizing algorithm is poop. |

256*256
Pixel art = photoshop's resize mode for 'hard edges'. Real images = bicubic or whatever |

@trappingnoobs
I use MS paint to resize pixel art because it's so exact and doesn't do any of the "guessing" for pixels... |

neither does photoshop's hard edge resize
It's amazing. it completely preserves pixel art. idk how it works while making it look so square when it works out an odd number |

Resize it to the size ROBLOX resizes it to with Paint, the one that comes with Windows.
Yes, I'm serious. With the painting application that comes with Windows.
Its resizing thing works really well.
Then, upload it to ROBLOX.
The thing is, ROBLOX's resizing thing isn't really good. So it's better if you do it manually. |

| The best method is to break your image down into multiple images and then put them together like a puzzle afterwards. This is how to get a nice clean individual-assembled image. |

The thing is, is that it SHOULD upload to at least a reasonable size. Not the icon size.
That's like expecting this image:
t5ak. roblox.com/75d3a78d42277bef0d681e531a0a4da0
To be on the top. :/
Instead of this one:
t2ak. roblox.com/246173463fbe4ece04213a01f5bd37c9
Same ratio, same size when I uploaded... but NO. |

Make a dummy area with decals on transparent parts as the text, and real models as everything else, then have a script just delete it as soon as the game starts. Then put the camera so it's looking at it.
You won't be able to have fancy blur effects but it'll look better then one crappy image |

| It's resizing it to the icon, which looks absolutely ugly. So if I upload it to the same ratio as the icon, would that be OK? |

I did it for this game and it turned out good. http://www.roblox.com/Ultimate-Paintball-2-place?id=26378848
8 pieces, 256x256 each. |

He uploaded his about 3 weeks ago though.
I think ROBLOX put a size reducer on it half way through today. |
