If you consider Cyprus part of the middle east, then that is also a democracy.
Turkey and Lebanon stand as "Hybrid regimes" but not under "Flawed democracy" as Israel and Cyprus s. interestingly enough, no country made it to "Full democracy" |

| Israel is ranked 37, while Cyprus is ranked 39. Lebanon is down at 86 while Turkey is at 89. Palestine is at 93, so it is considered a hybrid regime. Pakistan is at 104 while at the dead bottom of hybrid around the world is Iraq tied with Haiti for 111. |

So?
At the UAE, we have a monarchy, yet the UAE is one of the best countries in the Middle East.

As of 2011.
Israel doesn't have apartheid. Have you ever even been to Israel? 20% of the people are Muslims and they are living happily. |

@Liby
Do you have a democracy chart that proves this? Also, Candy, wo lives in UAE, just stated it wasn't a democracy. |

| I found one as of 2012 which I cannot post due to it not being Wikipedia. I also don't think Pakistan being a full democracy is very accurate. |

| 20% is a minority compared to the people in the west bank who are living in poverty and fear. |

| My uncle who's a journalist went there. They are living in appalling conditions and suffering abuse at the hands of the same people supposedly "liberating" them from extremist threats. |

Because:
"they are not living in fear"
^ That.
Plus, to get past the blockades you usually have to be part of a delegation and requires permission from the UN, ambassadors and your own government for a letter of support to allow you to cross the blockades.
Not to mention the numerous other pieces of paperwork and bureaucracy you have to circumvent. I highly doubt that you managed to go there. |
