I'm a Muslim, born in England and I'm white-ish. Currently in Australia. Everytime someone asks me what my Religion is and I say I'm a Muslim they're like "how can you be a muslim and english"
I think the government needs to do something about the educational system here and start teaching kids about other religions.
Do you think schools should teach kids about the three main creationist religions, the major polytheist religions and the well-known scientific theories? |

| You CAN be Muslim and English. Muslims populate areas all over the world. Muslim simply means "one who submits." So being Muslim means you submitted yourself to believe in Muhammad's beliefs in Allah, which is the Arabic word for "God", worshipping the same God as Christians and Jews. |

I think you might have misread my post.
I'm an English Muslim getting those kinds of questions. |

Lol, I also hate this, although it doesn't happen to me.
It's like, your beliefs has completely made you like, an outsider if you don't follow what everyone of your race follows.

| You don't need to be at the top of academia to know Muslims aren't all Arabs with beards touching the floor. |

@Candy
I know right. I mean, it's cool that you're a different religion, you get to learn about other cultures and stuff. It's just this problem that every school thinks all other schools are inferior to them.
For Example:
Catholic School: I like this school because blah blah blah good education blah blah blah definitely doesn't re-teach addition in 7th grade. Blah blah blah friends this friends that principal is awesome yadda yadda yadda completely open to other religions blah blah blah.
^^^^ Half of that is lies. They re-teach addition every year. Don't even speak a word about other religions. I almost fall asleep during class there because the teachers have to re-explain and re-explain it to the kids who don't understand. |

You underestimate the power of ignorance. Someone down my street felt the urge to shout "DEMOCRATS ARE EVIL AND ALL MUSLIMS ARE BEARDED TERRORRISTS WHO HIJACK MILITARY PLANES!" |

Yes, yes. Most people are generalizing muslims to being an arab having a beard with a bomb.

Teenagers. Teenagers are the most dis-behaved, rude, stupid types of people in the world. I hate them.

If they would be stupid. Not alot of them would be going to colleges and universities.
And not all of them would attend high school. |

Hello, Commander. ;)
I do think that people should be taught all of them. So they get a education on everything. In my opinion. :) |

| I feel bad, I don't have the guts to tell my distant family (almost all of the one side is christian) that I'm a cowist (agnostic). So I feel very awkward during family dinner times at there place having to pray to Jesus. Sometimes I don't even say anything, just mouthing it. If I do tell them I fear that my grandmother will have a fit which wouldn't be good since she isn't that stable. |
