(NOTE: This is based off FIRECAKE's threads (which I helped and was an admin in.))

I DON'T GIVE A CRAP IF THERE ARE OTHER HUNGER GAMES THREADS
THIS ONE WINS

#READ EVERY SINGLE WORD IN THIS OR PERISH

Every year since the Dark Days, the Capitol hosts an event called the Hunger Games. The Games consists of two children ages twelve to eighteen from each district, one boy and one girl, who are chosen by lottery to compete in a broadcast death tournament, which is mandatory viewing for the whole country. While in general, the District citizens reluctantly watch them and despise them, the Capitol citizens see it as entertainment.
When a citizen turns I2 years oId, his or her name is automatically entered in the "reaping," a lottery from which the tributes are drawn. For every year until they turn 18, they are entered in one additional time. Since many families live in poverty, one may be able to receive additional tesserae (one person's meager supply of grain and oil for a year) for each family member, in exchange for extra entries in the reaping. Therefore, for each tessera, one extra entry is placed in the reaping ball (these entries are cumulative, and are added every year.) For example, if a family has three members, a I2-y/ear-old ch/ild could opt to take three extra tessera: two for the two family members and one for themselves; thus their name would be entered four times (one is the required entry, and the extra three are for each member of the family). Since these accumulate, if the citizen keeps taking the extra tesserae yearly, they would have their names entered 20 times by the a/ge of 16, 24 by the age of 17, and 28 times by the time they are 18.

On the reaping day, a spokesperson from the Capitol comes and chooses at random one name from each reaping ball, selecting the two tributes who are forced to compete. However, any other citizen of the same gender, from a/ges 12 to 18, can volunteer for the tribute. The tributes are then taken immediately to the Capitol, where they are given a makeover by a team of stylists to look appealing for a TV audience, learn strategy with mentors, and participate in a parade and interviews along with the other tributes. They also receive training with w/eapons and other supplies which they use to impress a team of judges, the Gamemakers, who then score their skills in accordance. These scores are made public to show who has the best chances of surviving, which can attract sponsors and help with the betting. The day after the final interviews, the Games begin. Most people with the higher scores are targeted first because they are considered to be threats.
The tributes are put into an underground room until game time, where they are lifted up by tubes to the arena built specially for the Games by the Capitol (which is usually surrounded by a force field) that differs every year. They are instructed not to move from the plates they were deposited on for 60 seconds, before rushing to the giant, golden, supply-filled Cornucopia—or else suffer death via the explosives planted around the plates. The initial "bloodbath" begins after a loud gong sounds signaling the start of the games, in which the tributes fight to get the best supplies in the Cornucopia, which can be food, water, weapons, tools, or other useful items. The closer to the Cornucopia they are, the more valuable and useful the items are.

Because so many tributes die in the first few minutes, the Capitol waits until nighttime to broadcast to the surviving tributes the names of the dead. The seal of Panem appears in the sky, followed by the pictures of the dead tributes in district order. The remaining tributes continue fighting and killing each other – if they do not move fast enough or avoid conflict for too long, the Gamemakers sometimes create hazards in order to generate excitement for the viewers and to force the remaining tributes to fight. Another common occurrence is a "Feast," where a boon of extra supplies or food is granted to the tributes, announced at a particular place and time -- though whether it is a lavish feast, carefully relegated supplies, or a single loaf of stale bread for the tributes to fight over is up to the Gamekeepers.

In most Games, a well-stocked group of tributes (called "Careers", usually from the well-off Districts of 1, 2, and 4) band together to hunt down other individuals, until they are the only ones left to fight each other. The last living tribute is crowned victor by the president of Panem and is allowed to live in a special area of their district called the Victor's Village, where houses are well furnished and fully supplied with food. Families in their District also receive parcels for a year.

It is implied that there are no official rules for the Games except for not stepping off the plate until the first 60 seconds are over. However, cannibalism is looked down upon (a tribute in a past Hunger Games had become cannibalistic, seemingly because the Games had driven him insane).

After the games, the victor is healed by doctors and sent home (after a final celebration and interview in the Capitol) to reside in the Victor's Village with their families. After six months, the victor must take a tour through every district in Panem in order for the Capitol to keep the memory of the Games fresh in everyone's minds. The victor is given a forced celebration and ceremony, usually accompanied by a victory rally and dinner with top officials. The tour begins in the highest numbered district and ends in the victor's district. An extra "Harvest Festival" is provided by the Capitol for the winning district, giving the people more food.

I wish you a good hunger games people of Panem!

*-President Snow*

1. No godmoddding, Mary Sue, etc.
2. If you don't get in, you don't get in. Don't cry, babies.
3. Ask an admin to sponsor you if you want a sponsor.
4. You can’t escape the arena and if you try we'll kill you.
5. You're likely to die. Don't complain when you do.
6. Two people (each different genders) per district.
7. You're likely to eliminate another player, when you do, make it detailed. Not just something like "I hit the other player and he fell to the floor and his cannon boomed."
8. Try to only have one character unless an admin aproves of more.
9. Admins: Marcin2006, DarkWellorBallZ, DigiDude99, Sox86, Quilboar, LoveCrystalx3
(If you have participated in three or more games, you can be an admin.)
10. You will die if you do not eat/drink/sleep in the arena. It will be automatic.
11. No killing off CPUs so fast in the start, we need a couple later in case it gets boring.
12. No naming CPUs if you alliance with them. Others might want it.
13. No joining in the final 8 or if there are no CPUs left.
14. Put 'The Second Games' under your CS if you've read.
15. You can't control a CPU. Period.

(IF YOU BREAK ANY OF THESE
I WILL RIP YOUR SPINE OUT)

This is a general overview of what sponsoring is and HOW you can sponsor.

What Sponsoring Is

In general, "Sponsoring" is the term used for someone in the Capitol or one of the Districts sending XXX amount of money to XXX tribute's fund. That tribute's trainer can then decide what those funds will be spent on. If the funds are depleted, there can be more given, but you don't have an endless supply of money. People that do well in their private sessions will usually have more sponsors that want them to win because they've placed bets on them. People that do poorly in their private sessions will usually not have as many sponsors.

How to Sponsor

**Every single ROBLOXian that wants to sponsor can. HOWEVER, everyone is limited to $10,000 ONLY.** Now that may seem like a lot, but in the world of the Hunger Games, a water bottle can cost upwards of $5,000 depending on how much you want. But does this mean you can't get anything other than water? No, of course not! If your tribute needs something badly, you're more than welcome to have your friends sponsor them. But, make them aware that they only have $10,000 to spend, and they'll have to fill out THIS FORM before the transition of funds is noted:

[ Tribute Name ]:
[ Tribute District ]:
[ Tribute Gender ]:
[ Funds Being Sent ]: {$1 - $10,000}
[ Sponsor Signature ]:

Other

Sponsoring was first introduced in The Hunger Games: The First Quarter Quell and this system was only recently adapted. Before that, many tributes were buying endless supplies of weapons and ubering the hell out of our threads. The GM's then came up with this.

District 1
District 1 makes luxury items for the Capitol and is considered the wealthiest district and section of Panem other than the Captiol itself.

District 2
District 2 makes weapons and trains Peacekeepers for the Capitol. They are sometimes referred to as the "pets" of the Capitol as they are located very close and often favor the Capitol's men and women more than they do the other District's.

District 3
District 3 makes electronics for all of Panem. Many of their people are inventors and even their children know how to build simple circuit machines.

District 4
District 4 fishes for all of Panem and many of their citizens are very wealthy. The most common weapon for District 4 tributes is the Trident or a fishing net, which all citizens are skilled with.

District 5
District 5 produces energy for the Capitol and areas of Panem. Many of their tributes do not make it far in the Games.

District 6
District 6 produces transportation devices for Panem and the Capitol. Many of their tributes do not make it far in the Games and it is suspected that their district has a problem with morphling, a drug that causes inverse reactions to the brain.

District 7
District 7 produces lumber for Panem. Many of their forests consist of pine and their tributes are skilled with axes.

District 8
District 8 produces textiles and Peacekeeper uniforms for the Capitol and Panem. Not much else is known about this district.

District 9
District 9 produces grain for Panem and is suspected to have many factories. A common trait of their people is Hazel eyes. Not much else is known about this district.

District 10
District 10 specializes in livestock which they produce for Panem. Not much else is known about this district.

District 11
District 11 is the largest district of Panem and specializes in agriculture. District 11's Peacekeepers are among the strictest and many of their tributes are dark-skinned and have a keen sense of hearing and a good ability to identify plants.

District 12
District 12 is among the smallest districts and produces coal for Panem. District 12 is also the poorest district in Panem and many of their people die from starvation. Many of their tributes do not know how to wield weapons and do not last long in the Games.
