This idea is fairly radical, and was been created, discussed, and refined among a small group of individuals. This solution may in fact cause just as much harm as good, due to it requiring the cooperation of the members.
Starting off, I'd like to point out Roblox's issue of member's conflicting. I am not saying this is exclusive to Roblox, but it very apparent in Roblox since player's spend so much time socializing. My proposed solution requires absolute support from members if it were to be implemented in ANY way. My idea is to segment not the website itself, but the games that are played. The first step of it is to ask all players to state their actual birth date. None of this "You can't chat if you're under 13" stuff. This would determine games that are recommended to players, (The default of the "Games" paged would no longer show the universal Most popular, but the most popular among the Player's age group.) and the servers in which they would be assigned to upon pressing "Play." This sounds bias, but you would not believe how much it helps to have a player in their age group.
The second step is where this starts. A system should be coded to track what games player's enter, and this will help determine what games go on what age group's pages. This system will NOT be discarded after initial use. It should remain active. All of this would expand to groups and the forums.
The third step is keeping this working. The system would, as stated, remain active. It will continue to filter.
Please, comments and criticism are expected and encouraged. Feel free to put more detail on a section or rewrite it entirely. |

Good idea. It's not ridiculous and money-grubbingly stupid like Outrageous Builders Club. (Hint, hint.)

| How can we make sure people don't lie though? Someone can still say that they are 21 when they are really 10. Yes, I am with you on the age problem, but sometimes a 10 year old might not like the things that a normal 10 year old might like. Also what if a 10 year old might want to play on a game with a 13 year old friend. They won't be able to because they got assinged to a different server with other 10 year olds instead of their friend. Also with the recording what people say in a game. You could possibly be invading private things that they don't want others to know, without knowing that you are invading their privacy. So I kinda like how it is right now. The one main thing that I want them to change is that kids under 13 are allowed to chat, message, and post on the forms. |

| Yes, but this improves upon Roblox. This isn't perfection, just an improvement. |

My best friend on ROBLOX is 14. I'm 11. NO SUPPORT. And it will make it harder to recruit with the smaller amount of people you can play with. |

Hockey, The age groups are delightfully never mentioned. They could be 11-14 for all you know.
Also, this is what games are recommended to you. It doesn't determine who you play with period. |

Yes, it will.
Most of the older kids hardly touch the front page. They play things like Fencing, which is usually in back pages of the Games section. |

For the second time, please explain why you give no support.
It makes it much more creditable. |
